hombrepalo (745), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 24, 2009 Bomber from Archer Liquors. Wow this kicked ass. Beautiful deep orange pour with a nice bit of head. Nose is resin pine with alcohol in the background. Grapefruit also comes through nicely. Flavor is dominated by those beautiful hops and there is a nice sweeness to the taste followed by a good malt presence then ending with an appropriate bitterness. Great brew.
trayns (237), Beverly Hills, Michigan, USA Apr 23, 2009 Updated: Apr 24, 2009Bomber. Pours a deeper than expected golden amber color with a small white head. Aroma is prolly the weakest part of this brew. Taste is big, complex, sweet and great. The color of this beer really adds to the deep taste of hops and a citrus sweetness and complex hoppy bite. Very enjoyable. Go WINGS ! LtJudge (431), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Apr 23, 2009 Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head. Wonderful citrus/grapefruit aromas. You can also smell some caramel malt backing, but not too much. Flavor is of pure hop juice! Great citrus/grapefruit flavorsthat end in a bitter finale! Not too much of a malt backing, just some hidden sweetness in there. Great brew! brewblackhole (1367), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Apr 23, 2009 Citrus grapefruit aroma so sharp it burns your nose, creamsickle like sweetness is the only semblence of malt, taste is pure hop flavors and bitterness, grapefruit meat and rind, tongue curling bitterness to finish, all in a bomber less then 4 bucks, its just so amazing how a California brewery can deliver such high quality at such a reasonable price. Thanks Lt.Judge gotohelunc (473), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Apr 22, 2009 Bomber. Clear dark gold color, nice white head. Delicious nose of grapefruit and pine, very similar to Hopslam and other nice hop bombs. Same citrus characteristics in the flavor with a surprisingly short, dry finish. Easy drinking, crisp, and tasty. LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Apr 22, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours clear amber in color with full foamy tan head. Aroma sweet and citrus hops. Taste citrus hops and pinnaplle with pinnapple and bitter finish. Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Apr 22, 2009 22oz bomber 4/21/09 (Discount Liquor Milwaukee)- Pours a golden amber with a nice bigg off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, and slight malt. Taste begins with grapefruit then goes into a malty sweetness. This medium bodied DIPA is very well balanced and another great product from Laginitas. cmillward (419), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 21, 2009 Bomber. Golden amber, 1 finger off-white lasting head. Huge nose of grapefruit, tropical fruit and some pine resin. Some toasty malt comes through as it warms, but very crisp and dry citrus and resiny hop flavor throughout. Solid bitterness, though not harsh (for a DIPA). Nice carb and med mouthfeel. Plus, excellent deal for a $4 bomber.
