arminjewell (100), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Apr 5, 2009 Very full and rich aroma, colored dark copper. Rather thick on the palate, but overall decent. Initial flavor includes an explosion of hops, but lingers on the tongue and continues to give more citrus and floral hop character, a really pleasure to drink. Amazing for the price! jcweaver (65), VA Beach, Virginia, USA Apr 4, 2009 One of my favorite. Pours a beautiful clear amber with a full nose of hoppiness. This beer is smooth and flavorful. A GREAT IPA Guerde (693), Welcome, Minnesota, USA Apr 2, 2009 (bottle) Pours clear copper with a slightly off-white head that lingers and leaves great lacing. Definitely deserving of a 5. Huge aroma of mandarin orange, cotton candy, caramel, tangerines, and some pine as well. Warming suggests some hints of sauerkraut. Gets a little cheesy and peppery smelling as this warms some. Flavor starts out with a base sweetness of caramel, but quickly switches over to a lot of citrus. This citrus transition is signaled by a sharp spike of juicy tangelo, which then rounds out to a nice lingering grapefruit peel bitterness. Taste would’ve been just mediocre, but that citric spike is really nice. Mouthfeel is medium and the carbonation is spot on. I have to bump the overall score because this is a really good beer, and the low price is unmatched for a beer of this style and size. baraciisch (138), USA Apr 1, 2009 Golden in color... Aroma just explodes at you as soon as you open the bottle of floral hops... Flavor is more malty than I expected and is actually well balanced... Finish is mildly bitter on the palate... Pretty decent beer... markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Apr 1, 2009 Thanks kiefdog for the share. This is an enjoyable IIPA. Pours clear amber with a white head. Nose is malt, citrus, floral, and pine hops, and caramel. Tart citrus and assertive pine hops meet flavor at the mouth. Caramel follows the hops and tart grapefruit finishes it off and lingers somewhat. Enjoyable medium-bodied beer. GodOfThunder (855), Orlando, Florida, USA Mar 31, 2009 Pours a bright copper color with a citrus and pine nose. Flavor is more citrus hops, with a slight sweetness. Very good IPA. haddon90 (1035), Alexandria, Virginia, USA Mar 31, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear, light copper color with a nice, lacing head. Nice, powerful aroma, with some citrusy and floral hops in the aroma. Smooth, hopsy taste. Goes down really well considering the ABV. Nice finish. Not dry, but you can taste the kick. This beer is a classic example as to why I love Lagunitas. Adam77 (407), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA Mar 31, 2009 Best bang for your buck. Poured copper with a white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, and candy. Sweet hop bite that wasn’t overpowering. Wet finish.
