MI2CA (1260), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Sep 17, 2009 22oz - Aroma is pungent fresh citrus hops. Add is some fresh chewy hops and you’ve got this beer. Flavor is loaded with fleshy orange, grapefruit, and other citrus hops. Add is just enough caramel malt to keep it honest. Palate is tangy and creamy. Very tart finish. Extremely hoppy yet balanced and very tasty. Get some Stoopid. Collint (452), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Sep 17, 2009 Bottle, pours a clear copper beer with a decent light tan head. Aroma is super hoppy with notes of grapefruit and grass. The taste is a clean bitter bite of grapefruit and hops. This is a solid beer, if you like a lot of hops this is a very good one. SHANER4 (370), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Sep 17, 2009 bottle 22oz. - Poured very clear light copper color and small white head.
Aroma - oranges, grapefruit and earthy hops.
Flavor - strong mango/grapefruit taste along with alcohol.
Palate - medium bodied brew with peppery carbonation feel. Finish is kinda harsh and has alot of alcohol burn going down.
Overall - This is a decent DIPA. Needs more malt to balance out huge amount of hops!! Do not drink cold, alot better as it warms up a bit!! ante (2904), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 16, 2009 Bottled Monks Cafe, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy orange colour with with a low sticky white head. Rich yet quite simplistic hop aroma of orange-peels, lemon-zest and cat pee. Medium-bodied with strong dryish notes of white grapefruit, lemon n-zest, grass, neutral yeast and that cat thing....you know. Long bitter finish of grapefruit, grass and peppery alcohol. Tasty and peculiar stuff. Boliv (189), New York, USA Sep 13, 2009 Bomber. Pours a hazy orange copper color with a tiny white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and floral hops, with some caramel present. Bitter hop bite initially, grapefruit rind and grass, but balanced by a sweet malt backbone. Lots of citrus and pine, caramel, and dried fruits; some tropical fruit present too, mango and papaya. Somewhat thick mouthfeel, pretty smooth, and a touch of alcohol that remains hidden by the lingering bitterness. A thin veil of creamy lacing on remains. Good stuff. Keir (16), Saint Louis, Missouri, USA Sep 13, 2009 Pours hazy orange with off-white head. Nose is full of pine and citrus, touch of floral. Taste was bitter-sweet, citrusy, and initially dry. Slight oily feel on the back end. Good but not great. thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 12, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very large sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a transparent uncarbonated orange colored body. The nice aroma was hoppy. The clean thick mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish hoppy aftertaste. The smooth flavor contained notes of hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. SuIIy (1406), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA Sep 12, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a small foamy white head. Nose is fruity hops. More apricot then grapefruit. HInt of mango. Palate is full bodied with a nice film and a finish in the throat of light stinging. Flavors are fruity hop notes, bitterness, and a sticky mouthfeel.
