Poured into a pint glass out of a 22oz bomber. Appearance is honestly not very impressive. Crystal clear medium copper with basically no head at all. Only a tiny ring around the edge of the glass lets you know it is carbonated. Aroma is out of this world. Tons and tons of hops. Lots of passionfruit/tropical citrus character with a little bit of mild grain underneath. Flavor is, not surprisingly, nearly all hops. Huge tropical fruit character really carries this beer. A little bready malt underneath but it is very faint. Hops are king. Bitterness is not as high as I was expecting but is pleasantly assertive. The finish is slightly sticky but crisp. Overall, not my favorite IIPA but in the top 5. For the price it really canít be beat. I would have liked to see a little more malt balance and complexity but I have a feeling this will become a regular in my fridge.

Lagunitas seems to produce quite a lot of variations on the same theme... which, since it is such a pleasant theme, is not a problem. Is this one more hoppy, more grapefruity, more malty, stronger... than what? Itís just one more variation that stands alongside Sucks and Extra. Itís certainly got nothing to do with the Farmhouse style. Resiny, piney, smooth drinking. A great beer.

650ml bottle. (As Lagunitas Hop Stoopid) Pours a clear, amber-orange with a large, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Big, hoppy aroma of grapefruit, tropical fruit and caramel malt. Sweet flavour of grapefruit, peach, orange, mango, caramel malt and grass with a long, bitter, dry, resiny finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. A name that delivers! Nice!

Light taste. Pours well. Pleasant aftertaste. Smooth to drink. Enjoyable with a little bite. Will definitely revisit but not a single item that sets it apart.

Very hoppy smell, but fairly subtle hoppy taste. Has a light taste even though it is called Hop Stoopid

Pour from bomber, rich clear gold with admirable head. Nose of pine, simcoe, super ripe fruit, juice and pith, sweet flowers, sticky hop resin. The whole nine yards of an essential IIPA. Flavor is impeccably paired pine and thick viscous ripe juice, skillfully met with a taming malt that makes it all go down with almost too much ease. A must-try at a great value.

Tap. Black Swan, Leeds. Hazy, dark gold. Bubbly, thick, lasting, pale cream coloured head. Beautifully fresh, rich, sweet, tropical fruit. Loads of peach and passion fruit. Behind that thereís a lovely, dank, leafy resin character. Big, sweet biscuit, grainy malts too. Smells fantastic. Taste is rich sweet, turning fruity, zesty, piny bitter. Smooth, full palate. Soft carbonation. Finishes long, resinous bitter, with a lip sticking sweet close. Lovely.

Pretty decent one, but not a 100. Beautiful color and foam, pours perfectly. A bit on the sweet side
