On tap at Belmont Station and Bailey’s Taproom. Light bodied for an IPA. Pale amber. clean looking with a bustling white head. Big grapefruit nose, resinous and sticky. Big on the Summit hops with a stinky hippie’s armpit funk. Not super bitter, but floral and bombastic.

22oz bottle from BevMo! Mission Valley. Mostly clear golden orange color with a good sized off white head with decent lacing. Nose is very sweet with light hops. Flavor is also very sweet. Not quite as hoppy as expected, I think this bottle has been sitting a while, If I can get my hands on a fresh one I’ll re-rate.

(Old rating discovered in a dusty pile of forgotten notes, and I wish the notes on this one were more complete.) Thanks to aspidites for this!. Pours clear gold with a white head. Medium body and carbonation.

2009 update: Pours lightly hazy dark gold with a lacy white head. Sweet tangerine and pine aroma, with a taste that is much the same. Med body and and carbonation. Despite the commercial description, and various rater comments, this beer doesn’t seem hugely bitter. Nice balance, really enjoyable. I’m bumping the rating numbers up.

Part One: Draft at the san diego beer fest - poured a clear diluted bronze with off white turning slightly orange head. Hop painted ribbon-candy in the nose with big piney waves. Syrupy candy-like hop flavors. Not too syrupy but just slightly so...Nice christmas-like pine hop profile...balanced. Actually quite tasty though still has a hint of lagunitas house character, and that’s usually a negative thing.
Part Two: Bottle from the liquor store down the street: Pours amber with just a slight haze, thin tiny bubbled head. Aroma this time was caramel and citrus and a little pine. Bitter flavors, grapefruit rind and pine needles. Not much in the way of balancing malt character unfortunately. The hop flavors are nice, but the bitterness in the finish is uncontrollable. Not bad though...and the bottle version had less lagunitas house character than i was expecting after reading part 1 of my rating from a year ago.

22 oz. bottle via trade with MrBendo - Pours a hazy golden color with a one and a half finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Has a wonderful floral and citrus hop, and toasted malt aroma. Flavor is pretty much the same thing. No astringent aftertaste. Medium body. A very nice beer. Thanks Todd.

Brilliant amber with a eggshell head that lingers. Nice piney hop aroma. Medium body with light carbonation. Smooth, easy drinking flavor starts with a floral piney hop bitterness meshing nicely with a strong caramel malt sweetness for balance. Another knock out iipa.

C-Bus 8 - Bottle: Pours an orange gold in color with a white head. Aroma, citrus, herbal hops, pale malts. Flavor, citrusy, some caramel and pale malts. Very bitter, herbal and earthy on the finish.

Bottle in trade from gford217. Thanks man!
Pours a clear orange amber color with light beige head. Nice lacing too. Smell is clean, piney and grapefruit like. Taste is crisp, pine and grapefruite but some noticeable sweetness. Clean, despite the sweetness and very Pliny the Elder like, but a touch sweeter. Very good beer!
