I was surprised to find this. My brother said he had it on tap, but I could not find it anywhere. The head is slow to fade, but eventually settles out to a very thin layer. Great looking beer. Piney, floral, and citrus hops are all there. This sucker just lets the aromas out. A very nice smelling beer. This beer is extremely hoppy and I haven’t even tried it yet. Somewhat of a sweet malt aroma, but the hops dominate of course. Slight alcohol burn on my throat. A wee bit too carbonated for me. Not creamy enough, this of course is due to the carbonation. The hop flavor just lingers in my mouth. The bittering hop onset actually lasts a while. You can taste the citrus pine and floral hops. This beer is just very distinguised when it comes to the different hops you can taste. There is very little malt flavor. I can taste the sweet malts, but only slightly. Really good beer that everyone should try. The hops are amazing. glennmastrange (869), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 4, 2007 Tap. Great balance of aromas. Moderate smells of caramel and roasted for the malt, orange for the hops and dough and broth for the yeast, with dates, cherry and brown sugar in the background. Head is small, creamy white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear amber/orange. Flavor starts moderately sweet and acidic and lightly sour then finishes moderately acidic and bitter, lighty sweet and a touch salty. Palate is medium, between creamy and syrupy with lively carbonation and a dry and astringent finish. An excellent DIPA that’s well balanced in aroma and flavor. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Growler from Bierkraft. Copper with a bumpy off-white head, leaving craggy lacing. Pineapple, passionfruit, tangerine and floral aromas. Zesty hop profile at the front--grapefruit, lemon and pine. Hops dominate a relatively clean and introverted malt body. Sharp pine and citrus hop finish. Lengthy bitterness-with that nice hop oil on the tongue and teeth feeling. One of the best Cali 2IPA’s I believe I’ve had. msante79 (859), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA

Aroma is massive with grapefruit, tons of hops and a little pine. Flavor is grapefruit, pine, little caramel, and finishes with bitter hops. Not that much malt but is balanced for the high IBU. Medium body and smooth on palate for such a hopbomb. Really good DIPA and dirt cheap at under $4. Thanks Lagunitas. jzzbassman (856), New Albany, Mississippi, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 21, 2009 Bottle. Poured an orange-red with a slight tan head. Aroma is big, piney, and resinous. Very nice hop flavor bite with such a big malt profile that it actually is not harsh at all. Tongue coating finish. NICE. tgncc (851), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Aroma of citrus, peach, caramel, grapefruit. Background smell of earthy hops. The appearance is a orange color, true to the style, a little on the lighter gold side. The flavor is a hop explosion, mainly citrus hops, but also a solid malt backbone, caramel, fruits. The finish is a mix of fruity sweetness and citrus hops. Like a mix of peach and grapefruit. Thin/medium mouthfeel, a little oily. Excellent IIPA all around. afireinside96 (842), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA

Both the aroma and flavor were exactly the same: grapefruit. Clean and uncomplex, this was the most grapefruit direct beer that I have ever had. Pretty good and at an unbeatable price. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jun 10, 2008 This is definitely one of the best beers I’ve ever tasted. Poured from the glass to a bright orange-red with excellent carbonation and a thick off-white head that lingered for most of the glass and left good lacing. Nose was a very strong, crisp citrus grapefruit andlemons, with a hint of apple, that was constant throughout. Mouthfeel of this full bodied beer was tangy and tingly. Flavor followed the nose perfectly, and the finish was nice, long, and hoppy-bitter.
An excellent beer!!!
