Absolutely everything a double/imperial IPA should be. Made me change my entire views on IPAs in general as it allowed me to enjoy hops! Immediate hop/floral aroma upon opening of the 22 oz. bomber. Pours amber/light orange with a small but thick head and robust lacing. Once poured into the snifter, the bubbles continued to rise up in a stream from the bottom of the glass for a long while. Mouthfeel is very smooth and *surprisingly* balanced and extremely drinkable despite its 102 IBUs! First flavor is slightly fruity and hoppy with minimal bitterness- again, the balance is ideal. Long hop aftertaste indeed. Wonderfully refreshing.

On tap at Lagunitas tap room, Pataluma (CA, USA). Clear orange skin pour, tick ivory foam. Nose: malt, resin a bit. Mouth: malt amber feel, syrup, bitter finish cleaning the palate. Solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bomber: Dark golden-orange color. Dank grassy, sweet onion, gummy bear fruit hop aroma, little else for sure. Medium-full mouthfeel with a good amount of sweetness that gives way to distinct pine needle hops; slight alcoholic burn.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Bright golden coloured with a thick white head of foam. It has a sweet citrus, tropical fruit and orange marmalade flavour with spicy fruit notes and a smooth creamy pine and citrus finish. Excellent!

ours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some bready malty tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste. This is one huge bitter hoppy bastard.

Bottle shared with the bro, pours a clear orange with a frothy head. Aroma of squashed prunes, grapefruit, hay, peaches and lemongrass. Flavour is sweet peach with a citrus hit and a big hop chew. Lovely.

651ml bottle from Good Spirits Co. Wine & Beer (£7.50):
Great stuff, this one is a hop bomb to start with thanks to the huge hit of resinous pine to open things up but there was also plenty of sweetness & malts coming through from the middle onwards to help balance things out. I particularly enjoyed the tropical fruits, especially the mango that featured quite early on but the entire beer was a good one.

Nice, strong floral bouquet on the nose. Hoppy, but not over-powering on the tongue.
