3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Does not smell as hoppy as the name would suggest. Aroma also contains pine, grapefruit and malt sweetness, but it is all subdued. Golden color, lighter than most other DIPA’s I have seen. Giant ivory colored stubborn head that leaves a ton of lacing and stays thick for a long time. The taste is hop bitterness and malt sweetness alternating between one another brilliantly. The citrus that is faintly present in the aroma comes through in a huge way in the flavor. Very refreshing. Great slick palate, long lasting slightly bitter aftertaste. Quite possibly the best palate I have experienced in an IPA. Glad I tried this one; as an added bonus, it was one of the cheapest 22 oz. bottles as the Wine and Cheese Place.

On tap. Pours a dark yellow with a white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is citrus. Taste is a delicious malty body with lots of citrus and fruity hops. Nice bitterness, but not overpowering. A big beer. Lovely.

This beer is delicious. Although I believe it could use even more hops. Still a very tasty and enjoyable brew!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - Pours a nice gold color with a citrusy piney aroma. Big thick white head that sticks around. Flavor is faint but has a hint of citrus and maybe a little pine. Little bitter aftertaste but also faint. Overall not a bad beer but not a whole lot going on in this bottle, but what there is, is good. Easy to drink.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clean and golden into snifter. Aroma of sweet pine and citrus. Flavor is is very dry and piney. It is not balanced so much with the sweetness but I tend to like it that way. High quality ale at a more than reasonable price. Lagunitas always delivers the goods.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a clear orange/honey mixture with a fantastic head and superb lacing. Aroma is straight up hops. Pine needles, grass, grapefruit, lemon, orange zest, tons of onion/garlic character, super dank! Taste follows the aroma nicely, except there’s a bready malt presence in the taste that is absent in the aroma. Super dry finish, sticky mouthfeel. Why am I not surprised that Lagunitas makes a Imperial IPA that rivals the best of the best? What a great beer.

Hop Stoopid is one of my recent favorites. I like that it’s 8% abv, so I can drink a bomber and not get bombed. The flavor has a big hop bitterness but with less malt and caramel than some of these bigger IPAs. There is a touch of sweetness, but the bitter and slightly dank hops are in the forefront. Grass and pine, along with the usual suspect: grapefruit. Nice dry finish. If you like hops, this is perfect for you. Cheers!

22oz Bottle. Clear, light amber. Initial skunky aroma. Faded a bit and was able to find some floral, mango notes. Flavor is sweet malt, light herbal hops, mostly overpowered by a fizzy feel. I was really looking forward to this beer. Guess I got a bad one...

65 cl bottle from systembolagets weborder. Pours deep golden color with a medium offwhite head. Aroma of fresh citrus hops with notes of grapefruit, lemon, grain and alcohol.Flavour is at first grapefruit and some sweetness that turns a very hoppy and dry flavour. Nice and big ipa.
