To the nose it has nice sweet floral hops, pine and some citrus. First taste is sweet hops, some honey undernotes and a hop bite that then lingers on the palate. I’m giving this one a 5! It is all that you can ask for from and imperial IPA. I love it, job well done. Cheers! obxdude10 (1554), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA

This offering from Lagunitas was absoutely outstanding. The Hop Stoopid ranks right up there with the DFH 90 Minute and the double IPA from Stoudts. Absoutely incredibly beer. It all starts out with a copper pour and an off-white head. The head leaves plenty of lacing around the glass as well. The nose is so inviting and enjoyable. I probably looked like an idiot sitting at the bar with my nose stuck in my glass the whole time. The full and rich aroma of hops, grapefruit and pine set this beer up for excellence. The body is smooth and drinkable, too. The flavors are incredibly delicious, with hoppy and spicy notes, along with balanced hints of caramel malt, more grapefruit and pine and a touch of bread. The finish was spicy, dry and extremely hoppy. This is definitely one of the best impy IPAs out there. I will have fun tracking down more of this. At the very least, I’ll find myself back at the Craft Ale House again after the holiday to have more! I’ll kick the keg myself! Damn was this a great beer! kimcgolf (828), Dacula, Georgia, USA

Poured from the glass to a bright orange-red with excellent carbonation and a thick off-white head that lingered for most of the glass and left good lacing. Nose was a very strong, crisp citrus grapefruit andlemons, with a hint of apple, that was constant throughout. Mouthfeel of this full bodied beer was tangy and tingly. Flavor followed the nose perfectly, and the finish was nice, long, and hoppy-bitter.
An excellent beer!!! Bier brauen (210), Bremerton, Washington, USA

I could never tire of this beer. morte73 (5), USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Nov 24, 2007 Immediate citrus/grapefruit aroma.
