TheBeerCollector (548), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Jul 15, 2008 A surprise find at a local beer store. Picked it up on a whim and I’m glad I did. I cannot say I’ve ever tasted a better beer. Wow!!! Nuff said!!!! kimcgolf (658), Dacula, Georgia, USA Jun 10, 2008 This is definitely one of the best beers I’ve ever tasted. Poured from the glass to a bright orange-red with excellent carbonation and a thick off-white head that lingered for most of the glass and left good lacing. Nose was a very strong, crisp citrus grapefruit andlemons, with a hint of apple, that was constant throughout. Mouthfeel of this full bodied beer was tangy and tingly. Flavor followed the nose perfectly, and the finish was nice, long, and hoppy-bitter.
An excellent beer!!! Bier brauen (139), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jul 28, 2008 On tap at the Oregon Brewers Festival. IMHO, this was the best of the festival. I could never tire of this beer. morte73 (5), USA does not count Nov 24, 2007 Immediate citrus/grapefruit aroma. Big bold taste with medium hoppy overtones. I got this on a business trip and brought it home to GA. Ale_Drinker (1072), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jul 7, 2007 Pours golden with a nice thick lasting head. Immediately big hop aromas hit my nose before I am even close to the glass. Big citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit aroma. I am excited before I even take a sip. Flavor is very bitter and also sweet- a nice combo. Smooth bitterness lingers on the tongue nicely. Body is just perfect. A great thing about this big IPA is that it can be sipped slowly OR it can be quaffed enthusiastically and it still goes down great. What a great brew!!!
