Great frothy head,. Fine floral aromas, very complex flavors of floral hops, some malts and citrus and spices. No real alcohol taste, very smooth. One of the best DIPAs I know of. beerpadawan (4), Venusville, California, USA does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jul 19, 2007 We just picked up a barrel of the Stoopid today. It’s a big beer--bold flavor and aroma. The hops come dashing through the nose, over the palate, and stick around for a while.
While it is heavy on the hops, it has a complex character and a good malt backbone. It has a rich copper hue that is very inviting when held up to the light.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 23, 2007 Bottle from Capone’s - Clear, golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is of fresh cut Floral/citrus/Grassy hops with a lot of sweetness and a pleasant outdoorsy essence. Flavor is fresh & sweet - Hops! Floral & citrus dominate, but the sweet malts play nice and are augmented by a nice "Farmhousy" taste and mouthfeel - the hops linger oh so nicely. A bit different, but wonderfully smooth and enjoyable with a fantastic tingle. By far my favorite Lagunitas to date. Toxygen (413), Sanford, Florida, USA

Poured a great looking honey hued amber with a pillowy off white head that left tons of lace on my Allagash glass and a large pile of head pooled on one side of my glass as well. The aroma was the perfect marriage of hop bitterness and malty sweetness that I can only describe as hop syrup. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and hop flavors linger with a light bitterness. Flavor of recently crushed hop cones, citrus rind, grains, lots of hop sweetness. Phenomenal beer and at such a beautiful price as well. Changed (167), Ithaca, New York, USA

Lacing is pretty pretty. Aroma of grapefruit on steroids (just after a 2 hour long workout). Tastes like biting into a grapefruit/flower flavored pineapple. Taste lingers on the palate, daring you to take another sip. Aftertaste becomes stronger and stronger grapefruit/hops.
I don’t know how they did it, but this beer is like you favorite IPA, except on steroids. Watch out, you might get hooked! tendency (7), USA does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Nov 25, 2007 22oz. bomber. Outstanding. beer starts w/ a thick chewy pine tar resin mouth filling hit backed by hints of vanilla cream. Like an exploding firework the taste smoothly transitions to crisp grapefruit & tangerine flowers. Beautiful balance. Lagunitas really makes some excellent limited release brews. I am so glad the guys at Lagunitas decided to make this a regular production beer and not a seasonal. I really don’t see a need to blather on about this as it seems everyone here tends to agree that this is AWESOME IPA.
