3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Iím normally underwhelmed by the prospect of trying yet another IPA from Lagunitas, but given the great ratings, I figured Iíd give it a whirl - pours a clear light orange, with a fairly sticky lace - a lot of resinous, earthy hop character in the nose, with a potent mix of pineapple, mango, and apricot sweetness - the flavor is of medium sweet tropical fruits, followed by copious amounts of earthy hops, finished off by some lingering honey and herbal qualities - a little too sweet on the back - itís quite good, not great, but itís quite an argument for the use of extracts.

First of all, this beer is quite the value priced item. Great aroma with pine and resin notes and citrus. Exceptionally clear with a golden orange color. Taste is rich pine and citrus with some subdued sweetness. Bitterness is very smooth.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange pour with a finger of creamy white head. Iím immediately hit with aromas of pine, resin, dankness. On the tongue, this is a pine bomb with more of the resinous west coast hops. There is a malty sweetness backing up the hops. This is well made, but Iím getting mostly piney aromas and flavors which isnít my favorite IPA flavor profile, I prefer more citrus and floral bouquet. I like this more than Maximus but not as much as Sumpin.

Another winner from Lagutinas, and an incredible bargain at 4.69 a bottle. Dry, resiny hop character, with subdued sweetness, and lots of pine. Better than Maximus or their Sumpin series, I think. Definitely one of their best brews,

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is one of my favorites. I am like most, unable to get Pliny the Elder on a regular basis. I have been able to taste PtE. This is a good sub. It does taste like Pte the only difference is the finish. Pte is smoother and more well balanced. With that being said, this is the next best thing. I love the taste, bitterness, this is one of the best IPAís out there.

1pt 6oz bottle. Pours a light hazy pale amber with a creamy off-white head. Smells AWESOME. LOTS of tropical fruit, dried strawberries, grapefruit, and light resinous notes. 102 IBUís? Yeah, itís bitter. In fact itís a tongue burner, and a full on hop bomb, yet somehow itís really well balanced. Lots of fruity notes in the beginning, more tropical fruit, dried strawberries, and yes, you can actually taste some malt, as well as light caramel, and lots of citrus pith in the finish. There are a tonne of hops in this beer, and you can tell, but somehow itís not overwhelming at all. Without doubt the best "hop bomb" Iíve had. Well done!!!

Bottle from mane liquor. Aromas of hop resin, citrus and pine. Massive wack of hop resin upfront on the palate - chewy caramel and citrus too. Fucking chewy beer. Pretty solid but not on a hot day

Bottle. Gold pour. White head recedes quickly to a quarter inch and lasts for a long time. Aroma is spicy hops with perhaps a hint of pine and peach. Flavor is hoppy and finish is quite bitter, but still pleasant.

Not much to say about this one. Big epic hop bomb. Pine and citrus blasts you in the face when you open the cap. Punches you in the mouth when you drink it. Beast of a double IPA. Get it asap if you havenít.
