WeeHeavySD (2931), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Feb 17, 2008 1/3/08 @ the Tour @ the Brewery with Bikesandbeer, 8th Brewery of the trip, 1st of 3 of the day. out of a 22oz bottle. Pous clear yellow with a off white ring. Nose is light spicy, and sweet. Taste is sweet, and brisk, very drinkable and nice and tasty. As a Saison it might not be much but for itself its good. blutt59 (2040), Dallas, Texas, USA Feb 16, 2008 22 oz. bottle, slight aroma, lots of clove, a little thin, not a lot of saison going on here MullMan (1078), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA Feb 5, 2008 on tap at the blind tiger, 11/14/07. light golden clear color, short off-white head. aroma is candi sugar malt and light clove. flavor kind of the same, a little dry but this is more like a wit. nothing funky here. a little watery too. bleeng (586), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA Jan 24, 2008 Tap at Papago in Scottsdale AZ. Poured light gold with a slight haze. Very little nose. Taste was very mild-little evidence of the funk/horseblanket/spicyness known in this style. Almost tasteless-like a weak single rather than a saison. Thin mouth-not much to this beer. Very poor effort from a brewer that I expect much more from. The guy sitting next to me at the bar ordered this while I was drinking mine-I was too late in stopping him. We both sent our glasses back 1/2 full/empty. elelwarren (138), SF Bay area, California, USA Jan 13, 2008 Corncob colored pour, with small, lasting head. Slight grass aroma. Sharp carbonation. Ugly flavors of paper, overcooked celery, & horse blanket. Very dry & quite bland. Drain pour. Bomber bottle on sale for 1.99. Get what ya pay for! beastiefan2k (1589), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Jan 5, 2008 22oz bomber shared bu Notalush. It’s rather ugly, a very yellow clear color and a quickly fading head. Very macro-ish looking. Aroma is corn and bad perfume. Taste is white bread, cheap sweetness. Very light and with a low bitterness. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Dec 29, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of orange peel, clove, coriander, and toasted grain. Flavor of light citric and floral hops and some coriander. A bit ordinary. BBB63 (4179), La Porte, Indiana, USA Dec 26, 2007 Bottle and served in my NB worthy glass: Golden hue with a fizzy fading head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of wet grains, hint of DMS, faint grassy hop, honey, and a dash of coriander. The taste soft flowery and bready malts with a note of fruit and spice. Rather straight forward and lacks the refreshment normally found within the style. While hardly a drain pour, this beer needs much better yeast usage and to be dryer.
