Nearly clear orange, moderate head with good lacing and retention. Aroma is orange, basement, yeast funk, grass. Medium to light body, watery texture. Fairly standard example, nothing really interesting here.

Bomber. In 103 degree weather without having a beer for awhile, this tastes rather refreshing! Pours little head, very clear. Tastes has some yeast, some bananna and almost a lemon twang. I don’t know this style very well so I’m not sure how it compares. I would buy it and drink it again no problem.

Draft: Pours a clear golden with little to no head. A minor crown lingers. The aroma is faint with some spice and a hint of sweetness. The taste reveals lemon a little banana and some yeasty notes. The mouth feel seems drier than I expect for a saison but not bad. An okay beer but not up to the class leaders.

Bottle from Bottle Barn; Nose of yeast, lemons, ans a little funky note; gold with a two finger pale yellow head; flavor of wheat, breadiness, and a little cloves and banana; finish is slightly tart on the tongue.

tap @ papago...bright yellow pour almost looks fake. aromas of yeast, earth and citrus. flavor is yeasty with some apple/apricot sweetness and some herbal hints. finishes with clove and paradise grains that numb the tip of my tongue. decent brew and a nice change...6/3/7/3/15/3.4

tap rating... extremely floral, lemon, orange candy aroma and flavor. dry spicy finish. medium to full bodied and rather sweet 6/3/6/4/14/3.3

I’m not a big fan of Saisons, but I do enjoy Trippels. This tasted a lot like a Trippel, so that’s probably why I enjoyed this beer. Hazy gold with a dense white head. Banana, yeast, straw, and apples in the nose. Smooth, sweet bubblegum and banana in the flavor with honey, wheat, spice, and yeast. Slightly musty, but in a good way.

I sampled a bottle of this while on vacation in Sonoma 2 months ago; I stumbled across my notes today. Poured hazy straw color, with a moderate white head. Earthy aroma, with wheat, yeast, sweet malt, and spice. Yeast, musty flavor, with hops, malt, and earthy vegetal notes. Good saison.

I had this on tap at Comet Cafe in Milwaukee, and when I saw the tap-handle I didn’t know this was a Lagunitas offering. Howver, I was glad I gave it a try as I thought it was an approachable saison that went quite well with the meal I had at Comet. The beer was yellow and slightly hazy with a bit of scummy head. Aroma was a bit apple-y with a bit of clove smell. The flavor was mild, which IMO is appropriate for a saison and in contrast to many very potent saisons and bier de garde’s I’ve had recently. Mouthfeel was smooth. I had this beer with a meal, and thought it to be great for that purpose. It was mild but certainly not boring. Definitely recommended.
