The flavour is almost raunchy. I guess i am missing what the other reviewers are raving about, because this just tastes like warm dirt. hayduke (1641), Eureka, California, USA

Nose of toasted malts with citrus and spices. Mouthfeel medium and a bit oily. Flavor is slightly sweet and there is a citrus finish. Overall an enjoyable and quite drinkable saison.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Updated: Aug 10, 2007cloudy yellow orange color and smells like a witbier or a hefeweizen. Light bodied, heavily carbonated, and light flavor to begin, with a bigger finishing flavor after you swallow. A definite wheaty, spicy belgian like beer, which is not my style, but this is decent and drinkable. Almost no bitterness too. Cornfield (4928), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 6, 2007 From the tap this poured a clear golden body with a few lazily drifting bubbles, all capped in a modest creamy white head. The aroma had some light pale malts, drying grasses, and a soft touch of soap. The mouthfeel was thick and slightly oily. It seemed like a drop of honey had been added to the flavor and the grassy bitterness grew somewhat, but over all this was an unexciting yet solid beer. Saison?

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2007 Draft. Yellow color, fairly clear. Fruity aroams and a very refreshing clean taste. Not funky at all, but has some hints of Belgian yeast and a nice fruitiness. I enjoyed this one. JPDIPSO (4898), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 6, 2007 Draft. Straw color with a modest diminishing white head. Lightly malty aromas, with pale and lightly toasted malt, hints of lavender, light cloves and other herbal scents, Nothing real strong, but enough to suggest that this might have a promise. Pale malt flavors with just some hints of floral hops. More a light golden ale than anything close to a a saison. Not a bad quaff, just not a saison. kmweaver (2441), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 5, 2007 22oz bottle, courtesy of aspidites. Thanks, Mike! Pours a clear, honey-golden color; thin white head with patchy lacing. Honey and toasted cereal in the aroma; a bit too sweet. Light-to-medium mouthfeel: crisp and effervescent upfront, with plenty of unrefined sugars and honey; pleasant enough texture (lively; a citrus jolt at the tip of the tongue), but really not all that much else in the way of a rustic saison; mostly honey-laden sugars and mild chewiness, with touch of doughy esters tossed in. Somewhat disappointing and dull from Lagunitas. Medium, sugary finish. ratman197 (3191), Arvada, Colorado, USA

Aromas of bread, light straw and hints of citrus and spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp yet smooth. Flavors of cookie, light spice and a hint of citrus with a smooth lightly bitter finish.
