| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Draft at Tyler’s in Durham on 10/04/2008. Turbid yellowish gold with a medium white head and fair lace. Floral, honey like aroma with a distant funk, some light fruit, and suggestions of leather. Flavor reflects the aromas with a light sweetness, and a spicy light bitterness that balances well. Light to medium body and light carbonation combine with the aforementioned bitter hop contribution to leave a clean, dry palate. Overall, a pleasant, but non-assertive, saison that lies on the milder end of the scale. ucusty (1882), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Tap @ Papago. Spicey aroma on the nose. Gold body with white head. Flavor was a mix of sour tart and spice. Leaves the palate dry and itching for some water on a 100 plus day in the desert. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2008 On tap at Papago, served as "Lagunitas Farmhouse Ale, Saison." I assume this to be the same thing.
Light hazy gold pour with a small creamy white head that fades away. Aroma of light fruit and malt, and just a hint of yeast and spice. Flavor is much the same, but somewhat weak and disappointing. A bit thin on the palate. Drinkable, but nothing exciting. SamGamgee (1433), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 24, 2008 22oz bottle, 6%abv on the label. Light yellow with a small head; super clear. Light aroma with some light hop spice, yeast, pear, and peach. Light yeasty flavor, pale malt, pretty clean, some fruity pear, light tartnes in the finish. Thin body. Pretty bland, but refreshing. Nothing bad tasting in here, and has a nice dryness, but this is a weak and uninteresting saison for sure. Homer321 (127), Rockledge, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 21, 2008 pours a clear golden color. that was definitely unexpected for a saison style. mouth feel is very thin. taste lacks overall saison spiciness and funk. I had a real hard time trying to figure out why this "sasion style" was clear and bland. I would pass on this and go get a real saison. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Tap at The Diamond: Pours a golden color with lots of clarity and a creamy white film of head. The aroma is dominated by a grainy malt character, reminiscent of plain croûtons, bird food, and a very mild bubblegum ester in the background. Light feel on the palate. The flavor has some of that grainy malt character as well, with dried bread crust, bird seeds, and not fruity flavors to speak of. The later palate does have a bit of spiciness, but it’s very mild and nondescript. Pretty vague, but at least it isn’t sugary sweet like some other failed American examples davidoc (113), Chicago, Illinois, USA
