| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 1, 2008 Pours a transparent rich golden with a stringy-lacing frothy white head. Authentic aroma of sweet biscuity pale malts and some earthy grassy notes and a Belgian yeasty balance. Body starts lightly sweet and effervescent with good bittering hop balance with a touch of hay and some doughy notes toward a drier finish. Pretty true to style and very drinkable, but could use a little more body. doubleo (1104), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 30, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours clearish, golden yellow with a fluffy white head, some lace. Smells bready, yeasty malty and a good bit citrusy. Tastes yeasty and bready and slightly light citrusy. Light and good. Thin body, good carbonation. heemer77 (4303), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2008 Admittedly, this was a fairly bland version of the style, but I found it easy to drink. A medium gold body. the aroma was lightly funky with hay and bread dough. There was also a little bit of pink bubblegum. The taste was dry with some straw and some almonds. Howeve,r while initially dry, a little bit of subtle sugar sweetness creeps in. Hihgly carbonated. This isn’t bad, just a little boring. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA

Flavor is wheat, pickles, grain, lemon, grass, pepper, and more mild spice. Finishes meh (?) kind of bland. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2008 22 oz. bottle, from BevMo Walnut Creek. Pours a slightly hazed golden orange color with a small whitish head. Aroma is fruity - somewhat like light fruitcake and spice - tangerine and hints of licorice, coriander and herbs. Flavor of rather tart summer fruit, bitter herbs, citrus notes, lemon zest, spice and florals. Medium body, mild and gentle carbonation - quite smooth. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2008 650 ml. Clear golden-topaz with a large head that fizzes down to a lasting, thin sheet of cream. Aroma is spicy wheat and mixed-fruit bubblegum: apple, grape, banana, lemon peel. Flavor has the same components, but less sweet than the aroma indicates, due to stronger notes of citrus peel, plus some spicy-sourish yeast and peppery, green-woody herb notes. Smooth, near-medium body is tingly and dry. Nice summertime refreshment. posikyle (165), Alabama, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Really not that great. Pours a great gold color, with a nice thick head, but the positives stop there. This really tasted like a light beer, it’s probably the worst saison out there. Try Lost Abbey’s Red Barn instead.
