On tap at Taco Mac. Poured clear and yellow/gold with a thin, white head (Taco Mac always pours drafts with no head and too cold...). The aroma is spicy with some banana notes - quite floral, too. The phenolics and noble hops remind me of a potpourri - almost like chamomile and lavendar... There is also a slight pepperiness in there. The flavor is nice - bready with a little residual malt sweetness, lots of fruity esters (subtle banana note), yeast (accentuates the breadiness), and delicate backup of floral/perfumy hops. The middle of the tongue picks up more esters, and the beer finishes a bit full (probably too full compared to Belgian Saisons) with a nice, balancing bitterness. The mouthfeel is crisply carbonated and medium in body. Overall, a very tasty Belgain ale - but not quite dry enough (same mistake I made the last time I tried to homebrew a Saison...)

Bottle shared with a friend. Golden, lightly orange-tinted and mildly yeasty. Lightly sweet with just a hint of lemon peel, and a mild herbalness. Good. (#3391, 4/9/2008)

22oz bottle. Pours clear, deep golden color. Aroma is a combination of a loaf of honey wheat bread and new car smell. maybe some golden raisins... well more like the empty box. Thin watery body. Slight mustiness in the finish. on tap, much better than the bottle. bready and refeshing.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light golden body with a small, wispy white head. Smell: Aroma of pale malts, candied lemon peel, and a few flecks of toffee with now more than a hint of Grains of Paradise. Taste: Pale malts and a dash of lemon with the sweetness and spice coming in simultaneously. A hint of yeast, but it really lacks the singularly unique characteristics found in Belgian yeast strains. Very light hop bitterness for the finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: An okay beer for drinking, but when held up against the style or its counterparts within the style, well, it just comes across as dull and uninteresting.

Pour is yellowish orange and fizzy with a small white head. Aroma is yeast and grass, maybe a little wheat. At first I didn’t like the flavor, but it got better as it warmed. Wheat, lemons, grass in the flavor. Kind of thin. Ok.

Poured a slightly hazed light gold with a small white head. Yeasty and dusty aroma with some sweet malt and spice below that. The flavor was of mildly sweet dull malt. Light carbonation.
