22 oz. bottle - pours a light gold and white head fades quickly; lots of carbonation; aromas are sweet and grassy; a little earth-funk too with lemons; texture is thin and juice like; honey mainly and very sweet; blah; my excitement for this ended at first sip; a poor saison

Golden colored ale with a decent white head.A touch of funk in this otherwise sweet aroma. I got a bit of banana and apricot in this otherwise spicy and yeasty beer. Not a ton going on but it’s drinkable.

Not a very interesting saison. Pours a straw gold with thin white head. Sweet malt, biscuits, some honey, and notes of lemon zest and earthiness. Also a little bit buttery. Rather bland, but still drinkable.

Poured a cloudy yellow color with a big frothy white head. Aroma of citrus and some yeast. Flavor is flat and not much of the citrus comes through. Need a little more complexity in my drinks.

Mild mold and diacetyl with a bit of honey and lemon. Mlat astringent and soapy palate. Astringent lingering finish.

Not a Belgian. A little sweet, a little spiciness, but no complexity or intensity. Not a great example of the style, and certainly not playing to Lagunitas’s hoppy strengths.

On tap at Tyler’s. Slightly hazy orange with minimal white head. Average American take on a saison. Not enough yeast for me. Simple expected spices. Odd mid-palate but finishes with a pleasant bitter hoppiness. Thoroughly average at best.

Bottled. Beer is clear, medium-gold with a small, frothy, white, mostly and quickly diminishing head.
Malty with moderate notes of husky toasted grain, toasted bread crust, trace worty; light hop straw; light/moderate dough yeast; Trace/light banana clove.
Light/moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly biter with a long, lightly acidic, lightly sweet, lightly/moderately bitter/dry finish. Light astringency.
The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is fizzy.
