3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PilsnerPeter (2959) - Flushing, USA - AUG 20, 2008
Tap at The Diamond: Pours a golden color with lots of clarity and a creamy white film of head. The aroma is dominated by a grainy malt character, reminiscent of plain croûtons, bird food, and a very mild bubblegum ester in the background. Light feel on the palate. The flavor has some of that grainy malt character as well, with dried bread crust, bird seeds, and not fruity flavors to speak of. The later palate does have a bit of spiciness, but it’s very mild and nondescript. Pretty vague, but at least it isn’t sugary sweet like some other failed American examples

On tap at The Common Table.
The beer pours a gold-amber color with a medium-sized white head. The aroma has a lot of wheat in it, with some grass from the hops and also some Belgian yeast notes.
The flavor is similar. I get a lot of pepper from the yeast, as well as a little bit of orange citrus and a lot of wheat. There is some hop flavor but not any bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 KyotoLefty (3765) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 15, 2011
Draught at Lagunitas Brewery.
Rather pale gold with foamy lace. Yeasty fruit aroma, a bit raw. Dry flavor—malty and bready, with wheat, yeasty, with an ok hoppy finish. An ok saison, but the yeast weighs it down. Nicely dry, though.

Draft at taproom... Dark gold with a bit if orange, bright white head, great coated head... Really light nose but its nice, lemon herbal a bit of sourness, solid... The taste is much more herbal a bit to much, strong, sourness is gone, but solid
