3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by MrPickles...thanks Andy! - Pours light amber with a huge foamy white head. Tons of bright citrusy hops, with a smooth pine aroma. A bit of onion in there as well, but in a good way. Real light pale malt--the hops are king here. Taste brings more onion and some garlic--along with a bit of pine and a little firmer, sweeter malt. Tastes like a DIPA--it’s intense and focuses on the hops. Very nice.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A: Clear pale coppery yellow in color, minimal head. Thin film across the surface and a small ring around the edges.
S: Huge pineapple aroma. Piney and hoppy with a hint of alcohol. Very nice! Intoxicating almost.
T: Taste follows the nose, lots of fruity pineapple flavor, hoppy, piney and a nice sweet fruity malt backbone. DAMN the fruity pineapply flavors are ridiculous!
M: Medium carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, sweet, smooth finish.
O: Lagunitas sucks just plain ROCKS. This DIPA is amazing. I want more.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is citrusy with a bit of pine. Beer pours very yellow with slight head. It is very transparent. 1st sip reveals nice hop spiciness with rich fruit and pine flavors. Finishes with flavorful fruit esters, almost like apple juice. Yum

Surprisingly good considering the name. Never tried the actual holiday brown sugar so nothing to compare to, but this is nice and hoppy and clean. Maybe not that brown? More ipa-esque.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle poured into pint. Appealing golden, orange color...very clear. Ample soapy head that retains fairly well. Brilliant aroma. Crisp, clean, complex. Full of pine, citrus, pineapple, apricot, orange marmalade, slight caramel. Full bodied and slightly sticky on the palate. Pretty bitter all the way thru before a lingering dry finish. Similar flavor notes as in the aroma plus a nice boozey touch. More caramel and resin than in the nose and less of the citrus. An excellent IPA, one of the best ones I"ve had in a while. Great value, as well! Wonderful beer...

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Commercial Taphouse. Pours a light orange, nice head. Aroma is a citrus hop bomb, and is pretty awesome. Flavor is a light malt body, followed by a blast of citrus hops, mostly grapefruit, pineapple, and apricot. Although the malts are light, they have enough complexity to hold up to the hops. Sort of like an IIPA. Very good. Honestly prefer this over the usual Brown Shugga.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark orange, almost amber. Fresh pine and citrus hop aroma. Minimal head. Very smooth, pine and citrus hops from start to finish. And an interesting malt character as well, almost a finishing sweetness.
