4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear medium gold with a fluffy one finger white head. Really great head retention and awesome lacing leaving a nearly unbroken wall down the side of the glass.
Aroma is full of tropical fruit as is typical with Lagunitas. Lots of pineapple, tangerine, and mango with just a hint of bready malt and alcohol underneath. Not extremely complex but the citrus is very mouth watering.
A very juicy tropical fruit character on the taste that carries for a very long time. Tons of tangerine, mango, orange, and pineapple all backed up by a little bit of alcohol and bread. Bitterness is fairly mild for a double IPA and is just enough to balance out the sweetness. Mouthfeel is really perfect without any of the residual sugar all too often found in this style.
Overall, a really amazing IIPA. Extremely drinkable it feels more like 5% abv. Love the tropical, almost minty, hop character and the moderate bitterness. Definitely one to stock up on this time of year and one of the best from Lagunitas.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
What’s not to like about this aromatic hop masterpiece. I’m so glad they "screwed up" and had to make this beer. Beautiful golden color, crisp, delicious hoppy ale.

LAGUNITAS DOSE SUCK BECAUSE THEY DO NOT MAKE PLINY (MY #1 FAVOURITE BEERS) AND THEY HAVE NEVER EVEN TRYED TOO! THIS BEER IS OK THOUGH :AT FIRST I SMELLED IT UP MY NOSE AND IT ACTUALLY SMELL A GOOD AMOUNT AS AN PLINY (I LOVE PLINY, YOU KNOW), AND FOR THAT IT FELT GOODS IN ME. UNFORNTUNATLY - IT DOES NOT HAVE FLAYVER LIKE A PLINY AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE NATTY WE DRINK AT BBQS SOMETIMES. SO LIGHT AND IT COULD DEFINITELY USED MORE ALCOHOL. I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO THERE HOPS, BUT I BEARLY TASTE ANY. MORE MORE MORE!!

32oz - Beer pours a nice gold color with a nice head. Quickly you pick up citrus on the nose. The first taste is complex and hard to read at first. Swish it around and you pick up some citrus and pine but also other flavors. Bitter finish and dry. Nice mouth feel. I would buy this again and I will.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
32oz bottle for $6.99. Pours a clear dark gold with a decent fluffy white head. Aroma is straight up pine/floral hops. Taste is hop forward with a bit of a malt backbone. Dry, bitter finish with a bit of a kick from the alcohol. Big, thick mouthfeel. If you were to call this an imperial IPA, I would not disagree with you. Once again, Lagunitas delivers a kick ass ale for a very reasonable price.

Tap at Pizza Luce. Amber colored with a thin white cap. Light pine aroma with alcohol, malty and light rye notes. Moderate sweetness with a piney bitter finish. Body is heavier with a soapy feel.
