Jan 29, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours deep red with a foamy white head. Heavy carbonation. Aroma is of hops, alcohol, caramel, pine, and dark fruits. Taste is of hops, citrus, caramel malt, dark fruit, and pine. Lingering alcohol presence. Thick, almost gritty mouthfeel. Overly malty, but very drinkable and tasty.

Jan 20, 2009 Deep red pour with an off white head. Flavor is carmel and roasty. Flavor is sweet and thick, but lacks the hop presence i want. Flavor is too one dimensional. Alcohol is hidden well, though.

Jan 15, 2009 Brown pour with a dirty white head. Malty aroma or caramel and some roasted notes. You can barely taste the 9% but it does come through. Some dark fruits and malt in flavor with a hint of hops and a mildly dry finish.

Jan 7, 2009 Dark mahogany pour with a minimal tan head. malty, dark fruit and hops aroma. Big, thick, sweet, but not too sweet, hoppy, and a little alcohol. Nice clean finish. Excellent.
