Raisins, nuts, hints of citrus and all that is good for the nose. Bitter flavours, good raisiny nut flavours. Very good, a blow to the taste buds, but still a well-balanced blow. A barley wine with still noticeable hop bitterness. jlf278 (254), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

Don’t like getting the hairy eyeball, but it’s OK to drink it. stchloe (482), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 8, 2008 Bought this as part of my new pick 6 for the week. It pours a clear dark amber, with an eggshell head. The aroma is solid, with notes of licorice, and some hints of dark fruitiness. The flavor is a little too sweet for me, but it is drinkable, and the mouthfeel is good. Overall I would say this is a sipper, and I would probably get it again. Cheers!!
