Mar 26, 2008 12oz bottle. Red-brown with a beige head. Malty aroma with caramel and toffee. Big malty flavor with caramel, brown sugar, and a healthy dose of alcohol. Sweet, but just enough hops to balance, but not be too bitter or hoppy in flavor. Full mouthfeel. Nice sweet flavors, and good warmer on a snowy evening, but nothing complex.

Mar 25, 2008 Dark amber color with a big tan head. Aroma of caramel and sweet malts with a little hops. Flavor of caramel malts, and some alcohol and hops.

Mar 22, 2008 Reddish to brown in color with a decent head. Malty and caramel in the aroma. Did not really notice the alcohol strength. Taste has hops, brown sugar, and caramel.

Mar 21, 2008 Bottle pours a dark amber color. Head retention lasts a short while . Mouthfeel is medium and there is no lacing. Smells like sweet caramel. Tastes like some caramel, brown sugar, and some alcohol. Tasty.

Mar 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Reddish/purple hued body with a small, compact light brown head. Great retention and serviceable lacing is present as well. Nose is floral hops, caramel, molasses, dark fruits and brown sugar. Maybe get a hint of concord grapes and some phenol heat in there as well. Fore is juicy dark fruit esters, grapes, floral/perfume hops and caramel malts. Medium body, very vinous thanks to the fruit hints, average carbonation. Finish is lengthy and boozy, with floral hops, brown sugar and caramel underpinnings. Far reaches of the finish dry out the tongue and back of the throat completely. Interesting brew.

Mar 16, 2008 on tap at The Brick Store Pub. dark red... caramel, toffee and sweet malty aroma. This one is a borderline American Barley WIne. The caramel and malts shine through with a nice even soft and smooth palate. Clean finish... not the most interesting of beers, but very good.

Mar 16, 2008 Pours copper color with light tan head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel and brown sugar - similar to a barley wine. Flavor is sweet and spicy with alcohol coming through slightly. Full body with a syrupy mouthfeel and mild carboanation. Not bad, may try again.
