3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap. Pours a deep, dark red with a fine head. Strong malt flavors with apparent alcohol. A tad too sweet for my tastes.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Updated 4/20/10- Grabbed a single of this again to sample, as the first time was a couple years ago while camping so memory was a little foggy. Not as dark as originally thought, but still sort of strong for a brown ale. Not as heavy as originally thought, but still fills you up. Good balance between the malts and hops here, but leaning on the malty side. I will definitly try this again I’m sure, but prefer their IPA and red ales.............................................. is a dark, heavy, strong beer. The color is a dark brown, slight amber, with a decent amount of carbonation which gives it a strong head. I found the balance between malts and hops to be a bit on the bitter side. I appreciated the flavors and wanted to try something a bit different, but not sure if it worked enough for me to retry. A good beer to split with a buddy to sample. An entire 12oz. was just a bit too heavy/bitter for me though. I needed to chase it down with something lighter.

Bomber - nose is candy sugar. Sip adds dark fruit and slight grass. It’s somewhere between a belgian strong and a barleywine. Strong! Flat.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear amber-brown with three fingers of light tan head, excellent retention and lacing. (5/5) Nose is toffee malt, brown sugar, dark slightly boozy stone fruit, mild pine resin. (7/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderate bitter, mild peppery spice. (7/10) Medium slightly creamy body, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter and mild spicy finish. (4/5)
Surprisingly smooth and light for a beefy ABV. I keep thinking there’s rye in there because of the little spice kick, but it doesn’t appear that there is. An interesting deep and rich malty brew. I’m not generally a fan of malty, but this works pretty well. Not sure I’d shave my eyeballs for it, but... (15/20)

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is rich roasty caramel malts with honey, brown sugar and a subtle but nice hop aroma of clove and lemon grass. Taste is deep rich malts with toffee and caramel flavors. Quite creamy mouthfeel. Transitions into a well balanced hop profile that is just complex enough to enjoy thoroughly. Appearance is a clear dark amber with a thin beige head that retains somewhat well.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not sure what to think about this. Sweet yet bitter. Not what i would call balanced though. It’s more like they are clashing flavors instead of them working together to create one unified taste. Soft smooth mouth feel but leaves a dry stickiness in the mouth that i can not say i admire. For the price (@$5.00) it’s a decent beer. Just not something that would come to mind if i was asked to make a recommendation.

Bottle - small foamy head, very dark Amber color, strong balanced aroma and flavor, deep caramel malt and fruity hops, smooth finish with a fair amount of alcohol notes, almost reminds me of a barleywine, very good overall
