12 fl oz bottle. Pours deep amber/golden and with a lacing off-white head. Aroma is fruity, roasted malt and a dark caramel note. Flavour starts sweet and soon gain in loads of caramel malt, mild dark fruit notes and a slight liquorish flavour. Ends with a lingering caramel malt with a bit of hops adding some bitterness. Nice and quite flavourfull.

$.49 special at family liquor. Pours ruby with a thin off white head from a hard pour. Malty. A bit of floral hops and brown sugar in the nose. Flavor was mainly malt also, with some nice bitter fruit and a very light raisin sweetness. Thick, syrupy, and quick. A nice barley wine...

22 oz. bottle from late 2003. Has a copper color as I decant the contents. Nice two finger head which sticks around leaving a beautiful lace. Malty sweet smells along with floral hops.Taste is caramel sweetness balanced by perfumy floral hops with a alcohol bite in the background. Full bodied, the mouthfeel is rich and creamy. This brew already tastes like a well aged barley wine. Excellent. sept 2004

Draft at the Blind Tiger, 2004 version. Dark red / brown pour with thin head. Aroma of mostly caramel malt, so sweet almost fruity. Very much like a barleywine. The flavor is similar, sugar and caramel malt; maybe a slight tartness in the finish. Quite nice to drink.

Brown with a off white creamy head. Deep malty sweet aroma - sugary taste / aroma. Some hops - bitter ones. Light warmth. Very pleasant. More like a Barley wine ... Good!

Bottle, 12 fl. oz. Pours a dark brown beer, with a yellow/brown head. The aroma is caramel and raisins, with notes of sweetness. Flavor starts with caramel and sweetness, and finishes with bitterness. Nice complex flavor, with a smooth mouthfeel. Nice complex beer, with typical american sweetness.

Aroma has raisins, sugar and caramel malts, some wine and hops. Clear, brown-red coloured with a thin, off-white head. Taste is sweet and becomes more hopbitter towards the finish. Raisins, caramel malt, sugar and hops in it. Reasonable balanced. Some alcohol noticeable. Decent brew.
