12 oz bottle. Poured a clear garnet color. Head was thick and light tan with good retention and lacing. Rich malty molasses aroma with a hint of soy sauce. Slick, oily mouth feel with a touch of sweetness. Roasty malt flavor up front gave way to brown sugar, resiny hop, and subdued bourbon notes. Finished with ample hop bitterness and a smouldering warmth in the stomach.

Pours a medium ruby, with a small off-white head that mostly disappears. Heavy aroma of prunes and plums, caramel and syrup, with some light pine resin floating in the sweetness. Flavor sweet, dark and fruity, with flavors of chocolate and a muscular bitter kick chasing down a long, chewy finish. Strong alcohol heat makes it a little harsh and astringent at the end.

Sweet, syrup, malty aroma. Brown-amber with a thin head. Licorice, sweet roasted malts, hops, syrup flavour. Fairly harsh bitter that lingers.

12 oz bottle; Nose of grain, brown sugar, caramel, and some light piney hops; clear cherry brown with a medium beige head; flavor of hop bitterness, contrasting with medium sweetness, molasses, amd caramel; the bitterness lasting to the finish in the medium body. Very interesting!

12oz bottle poured in a flute. This beer pours a very nice mahogany color with a very lacy cream-colored head. It smells of molasses and candy. It tastes like bark and has a very strong alcohol finish.

This beer pours a very dark brown color with a small creamy tan head and nice lacing. The smell is sweet with scents of citrus, pine, carmel and candy dominating. Very strong and lasting taste with an noticable alcohol presence. This is an interesting beer, very complex with sweetness and bitterness fighting for your tastebuds and palate.

A flavorful beer, nice and caramelly. The aroma is not the forefront of this beer, very mild, but the taste is impressive. A nice strong flavor that hits the tastebuds and keeps it there. An enjoyable brew for a cold night, or a warm one for that matter!
