An amber beer with a slight haze and a light brown head. The aroma is primarily of caramel, but also with ligth notes of hops and alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with lots of caramel and alcohol. The alcohol burn in the mouth - first on the tongue, and then in the throat. A nice Winter Warmer ;-)

(Bottle 65 cl) Pours a reddish brown mahogany with a beige coloured head. Roasted, malty aroma. Accents of roasted malt and caramel. Dry with some lightly port-like notes. Dry finish. Lagunitas rarely offers bad beers, but even more rarely they offer something outstanding. 270106

12 fl oz bottle. Pours deep amber/golden and with a lacing off-white head. Aroma is fruity, roasted malt and a dark caramel note. Flavour starts sweet and soon gain in loads of caramel malt, mild dark fruit notes and a slight liquorish flavour. Ends with a lingering caramel malt with a bit of hops adding some bitterness. Nice and quite flavourfull.

Bottle, 9%. Roasted aroma, sweet and malty. Seemingly clear dark brown colour. Unstable tan head. The flavour is quite sweet but balanced by a clean roastiness and the alcohol. Sweet liquorice aftertaste. Late dusty note. The alcohol seems to evaporate and flow up into my nose. Quite powerful, perhaps too much so.
