"Here’s Lookin’ Atcha’!"

Laying there, staring up at the ceiling, head pounding, last night was a dim recollection. How did he get home? Was he alone? Looking to the left and right, the answer was yes, maybe. His head was full of ’rag water, bitters, and the blue ruin’.His teeth felt like he’d been chewing aluminum and his breath smelled like a burning tractor tire. There was a wrenching knot somewhere between his liver and East St. Louis and he couldn’t be sure whether or not he’d wet himself. A yellow sine wave rang in his ears so loud nit made his teeth itch and he was sure that if he touched his skin anywhere it would induce a rhythmic retching jag. Even in the face of all that, he found himself smiling at the realization that today represented the fresh breast of a new year- an undiscovered country- and also there was still one warm, half-full, flat redolent Hairy Eyeball on the nightstand. Yes-there is a God.

Pours a chestnut brown/reddish color with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, bread, dough, slight dark fruit and alcohol. Taste is the same with a bit more dark fruit coming through. Nice sticky residue on the lips. This is a tasty brew, interesting. Full body to go with the ABV. I really wanted to loooove this beer, but its just kinda blah with a weird astringency. The cost saves it. 9.1% for under $5. NICE!

Poured from a bomber. Thin white head on a clear red / brown ale. Mild aroma of bread and maybe a bit of vanilla. Brown sugar, apricot, and mild spices dominate. Medium body. Taste is sweet throughout before a crisp finish. Not terribly boozy, but 22 oz. and we’ll call it a night.

Good solid strong ale. Alcohol very noticable both in the nose and tounge. Proceed with caution. 4 bucks for a bomber too so hell of a deal for the quality you get. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

First off a great leather color. Though there isn’t much nose. A caramel, mild hops, and malt profile.

22 oz bottle. Aroma: malty, with hints of brown sugar, caramel, raisin, biscuit, and maple. Taste/Palate: sweet; finishes slightly astringent and bitter.

Poured from a 22. Aroma is boozy (whiskey) and brown sugar. Flavor is bitter and astringent with a definite bite to it. There is some subtle sweetness in the flavor, almost like a bit of a butterscotch.

Poured from bottle into snifter. Amber to brown color with moderate head that dissipated quickly. Pleasant aroma with more hops than I expected. Flavor was solid. Loads of raisin and malt. There were some hops there to balance but not nearly enough. You could find then if you looked for then but the sweetness was overwhelming. By the time I finished u was struggling a bit. Still a good brew and the first sips were excellent, just don't drink it by yourself because it tires very quick

From bomber to tulip. Smell of burnt caramel, banana and alcohol. Sweet malt as well. Beautiful mahogany with full brown head that remains as wispy clouds across the top. Taste is chewy malt, cherry, moderate alcohol burn and sweetness lingering on the lips. Slight cola and freshly served mini-loaf of bread.
