Rich and somewhat complex nose of pineapple, grapefruit, graham cracker, pine, brown sugar, musty caramel and earth, with lesser notes of cherry and chocolate found throughout. Citirc hop bite flavors are prevalent on the first sip, but as it warms, light roasty chocolate notes and hints of caramel play out to maintain decent balance. Medium bodied, yet just a bit thin in the mouth, light carbonation, bitter finish. Good stuff and certainly worth a try if you run across it...

Body is a pretty dark ruby color with a large slightly tan head. The aroma is leathery with some apples. The taste is oak with a nutty character. There is also some rich earthy grass with some chocolate. The body is slick and very smooth for the level of alcohol. There is also a little bit of iced tea. A nice big beer that is a little too easy to drink. Perkeo (318), Portland, Oregon, USA

Medium to full bodied with an apetite arousing bitterness, though not extreme; has the stemmy/grassy flavor that I atribute to to many mid-boil flavoring hops, but still a pleasantly rich bittersweet flavor balance, with plenty of malt. Easy drinking for it's strength, another six months in the bottle may just improve this all ready very good beer. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA

Seasonal spices, such as nutmeg and cloves. Somewhat dry and malty. Very smooth finish. The alcohol is pretty obvious, but it is not over-stated. GregClow (2516), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Rich aroma of syrupy hops, brown sugar, and some fresh tobacco notes. Flavour is big, solid and very well-balanced. Starts sweet and fruity, ends earthy and herbal. Some alcohol warmth in the finish, but it worked well with the flavour profile. Damn fine. mixamatt (427), San Francisco, California, USA
