COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Here’s Lookin’ Atcha’!"

Laying there, staring up at the ceiling, head pounding, last night was a dim recollection. How did he get home? Was he alone? Looking to the left and right, the answer was yes, maybe. His head was full of ’rag water, bitters, and the blue ruin’.His teeth felt like he’d been chewing aluminum and his breath smelled like a burning tractor tire. There was a wrenching knot somewhere between his liver and East St. Louis and he couldn’t be sure whether or not he’d wet himself. A yellow sine wave rang in his ears so loud nit made his teeth itch and he was sure that if he touched his skin anywhere it would induce a rhythmic retching jag. Even in the face of all that, he found himself smiling at the realization that today represented the fresh breast of a new year- an undiscovered country- and also there was still one warm, half-full, flat redolent Hairy Eyeball on the nightstand. Yes-there is a God.

Dark brown with red tint and off white to tan head. Aroma is sweet and grassy. Taste is sweet. Caramel and vanilla malt. Nice. To sweet to drink a lot, but still enjoyable.

Pours brown with red highlights. Aroma of brown sugar, dark malts, and fruit. Heavy malt flavor, but well balanced with flowery bitterness. Finishes slightly sweet. This has some Belgian characteristics. Not overly complex. Good, but not the best offering I’ve had from Lagunitas.

Great deep color, good malt profile, booziness not hidden at all. Malts make it fairly palatable, though. Very warming. Not my favorite from them, but definitely worth trying at least once.

Poured from 1 pint 6 fl oz bottle. Clear brown with reddish hue and off-white head. Caramel malt, light toffee and roast malt, subtle dark fruit. Fairly decent, but not overly complex. Blend is just okay.

Bottle. Perihelial Release (I’m not tooo late since perihelion was 3 Jan) with an ABV of 9.1%. Dark amber with reddish tint, large spongy beige head, faint vanilla like aroma, caramel-burnt malt taste, medium carbonation, smooth medium finish with a burnt aftertaste. Quite smooth to drink and a loveble eyeball indeed!

Bottle: Pours clear dark brown, red lights, with a slightly off-white ring. Caramel, fruit, sugar aroma. Taste is sweet....caramel malt, berry... Alcohol is wondrously hidden, with a slight warming nature......slightly woody.... Incredibly smooth, and very tasty. Nicely done.

Look: pours a deep cooper color. Almost brown light brown head. Very clear. Smell: sweet candy. Slight red apple skin. Caramel. Alcohol. Flowers. Taste: caramel. Alcohol. Little bit of bitter on the back. Feel: very thick mouth feel. Slight oily feel as well. Has that nice lagunitas flavor. Like it a lot. Overall: good beer. Odd mouth feel based on what I expected. Love the hop aroma and flavor. First drank: hime 1/17/15 Vintage: 2014

Poured from a bomber into a tulip on 06.19.14. A: 3 1/2 finger tan head. Nearly see through red/caramel body. S: Brown sugar, maple syrup, and caramel. Sweet smelling. T: Brown sugar, pineapple, and maple syrup. M: Creamy. O: This would be a good dessert beer. It’s a brown sugar bomb. The alcohol is hidden very well. All round, it’s a great winter warmer.
