3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear amber body, beige creamy head; Very small hoppy fresh nose; Balanced body, very innocent, lacks complexity and strength (9.28?); It grows in finish, that has some fill and a little power, hop is present and a little malty sweetness. Very pleasant, but VERY innocent to.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2007, Nice ruby color, aroma is sweet and hoppy, caramel, very nice. The hops are noticeable first, alcohol is very well hidden. Reminds me of barley wine, overall very good.

a full-bodied beer with a strong aroma of caramel and candied sugar. malts seem a bit astrigent. but the rest follows through with deep malt charactertics. well worth you time

3.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2007 The aroma is rich with lightly toasted and caramel malts. The hops are slightly piny and grassy. The appearance is deep amber with an average head. The flavor is astringently bitter with moments of paper and caramel. The palate is thin. The aroma here is the BEST ever, but sadly the flavor does not match it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark brownish amber with a small creamy head. Aroma is thick, fruity, syrupy, and vineous with woody, piney hops-pretty much like a barley wine. Flavor is super thick and roasty like a barley wine as well and has a notable dark fruity presence combined with very flavorful hops.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle picked up in Atlanta, GA
Pours clear red with a stiff off white sticky head.
Very fruity aroma. Seems to be a wonderful blend of toasted and caramel malts, large amounts of citrusy and spicy American hops, and some yeast esters.
The flavors are rather light, or balanced maybe. And that relative. The malty toffee sweetness is there. The hoppy spice and bitter ness are there. And they are playing very nice together. Alcohol is starting to creep in there at the beer warms a bit more.
Light body when compared to the same sort of beer, and that make this beer eeeasy drinkin’. Appropriate carbonation. Balanced finish.
Around 3 buck a bottle. You just can’t go wrong with that.

Spicy citrus, bitter. Bittersweet hops. Amazing price @ beverage warehouse in los angeles ($2.69) Really did not feel like 9.28% abv which allowed to finish off the night with a lagunita red imperial ale.

Cool label. Big, lumpy head. A very hearty brew - nicely blended, hoppy mix. This stuff is sharp, bitter, and strong! There should be a special permit for this stuff. It will grow hair on your chest - and maybe in some other places too.
