We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

Rated on 5-31-2014 at 800 Three Fires (Fort Wayne, IN) This draft beer has a small off-white head with a short retention, transparent copper body, very little carnbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, herbal, citrus, and bitter hops. The flavor is semi-sweet, moderately bitter, caramel malt, alcohol, and citrus hops. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. This is beer is very quaffable, worth trying but it is a bit too bitter tasting for my liking.

Dark amber colour. Fresh aroma with hints of a modern IPA with flowers and citrus which leaps from the glass. The flavour has a nice caramel element to it which leads on to a balanced and soft but still powerful bitterness kicks in. The finish has good kick to it. A slightly medicinal feel, but still pleasant. Very nice.

Bottle at home. Deep amber with a large head and sticky lacing. The aroma is fruity, light pine, malty, cola. Full bodied, sticky sweet, floral and perfumey hops. Bitter sweet finish. Lagunitas makes sticky, over malted, overly sweet beers.

12 oz. bottle share thanks to Taylor. Appearance: 3 fingers khaki head, amber color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: floral, caramel, light fruit, nutty. Palare: medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation, dry and bitter finish. Taste: sweet caramel to lasting bitter hops. Overall, unique beer, super floral and almost candy caramel.

More dbl ipa than strong ale. Medium body, pine, caramel malts, citrus rind. Balanced, medium sweetness, west coast hops. Long piney, bittersweet, finish. Nothing special, I would buy it again though....

A good beer. Just different from my favorite lags "strong ale". I love the hops and this has em. Good up front sweet hop aroma. A little sweet in taste but is very quickly evacuating my glass. Lagunitas has a nice beer portfolio for the every man beer drinker. And this adds to that. A good beer worth having a glass or bottle or whatever you prefer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Clear copper with an off-white head. Aroma of piney and resinous hops, a bit stale, some caramel and cookies. Sweet flavor of chewy malt, caramel, cookies, some fruitiness, a bit of licorice, and piney hops, slightly stale, with a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Clear copper with a big head. Aroma spicy and citrusy, with an earthy note. Taste full and bitter, but with a strong orange liquor note. Very rich, Second sip is much sweeter. However, it is surprisingly drinkable, and the palate, while sweet, is not cloying. Very interesting beer.
