We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

Bottle. Orange/grapefruit peel pulp and peel aroma. Hazy amber with moderate head. Sweet orange malt and moderately strong grapefruit peel/pine flavor. Okay - pretty sweet and hoppy.

Bottle: Light haze, deep copper, light head and a good lace. Big hoppy lift. Loads of malt. Some caramel and citrus. Dry to off dry, not sour, bitter and almost finishes sweet. Very fruit. Loads of orange and mandarin. The mid palate is fresh but the finish is heavy. This beer could knock you out. A little over the top.

It pours amber with a head that produces lacing. It has citrus and dried fruit aromas. The aroma has a bit of a cherry smell as well. It is definitely fruity both with citrus and cherry flavors with the traditional hops bitterness.

On tap at Barley Johns. Pours a clear golden orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a decent amount of citrus with a strong sweet grain backbone and a hint of bread. Flavor has has sweet grains and toffee with a touch of sweet citrus in the finish.

Bottle: Clear amber with a small beige head. Orange and piney hop aroma. Caramel malt, brown sugar taste...malty and sweet with a solid amount of hops at finish...nice sweet to bitter transition. Very smooth.

Great sweet aroma of brown sugar and malt with some dark fruit lingering in the background. Very attractive reddish brown color with an off-white head. Taste is sweet, followed by bitter, with an aftertaste that is a combination of both. There is a slight copper flavor in the aftertaste that I found unpleasant and had to dock it a few points for that. Great palate; exceedingly drinkable for such a strong beer. I would definitely buy this again.

Pours a very nice clear, copper color. It has very nice lacing, but minimal head retention. Smells hoppy, and a bit of caramel malt. Tastes very bitter and hoppy. My only criticism is that it finishes a bit too sweet. That being said, an excellent drink!

Pours a clear mahogany color with medium off-white head that leaves lots of good lacing. Aroma is malty with caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and some floral hops. Taste is on the sweet side with some bitterness coming out in the finish. Body is medium to full, with alcohol well hidden, low carbonation and a slightly sticky mouthfeel. This is a substantial and interesting one., well worth trying again.
