We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

On tap at Ashley's. Pours a dark pale. Bitter and crisp, subtle but strong, a good mix. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle from The Beer Store Wilson. Light amber hue, murky clarity with mostly lasting fizzy off-white head. Good lacing. Strong citrus, floral, booze, light fruit aromas. Heavy bitter citrus and floral tastes up front with a heavy booze and citrus finish. Watery texture on the palate with a light-medium body. Solid beer.

A - 5/5 - This is a nice copper/amber colored beer with a nice off white had that sticks and leaves great lacing. S/Aroma - 7/10 - Nice pine/grapefruit hops, with a lot of strong/sweet malt in the background. Basically a nice American Barleywine smell. T - 8/10 - Grapefruit/citrus/pine flavors from the hops are pretty prevalent, but then give way to massive sweet malts. Almost a little sickeningly sweet on the backend. M/Palate - 5/5 - Can’t really knock this one at all for the palate. Light-medium mouthfeel. Alc is very well covered. Very sweet/malty but at the same time hoppy American Barleywine type aftertaste. O - 16/20 - Good beer, A little overly sweet at times, I’m not personally that big of a fan of American Strong Ales/Barleywines either so I might be swayed a little by that. But Lagunitas makes some good stuff!!

Pours a dark amber. White head. Not a whole lot going on. Pretty balanced. Some pine, some caramel, maybe a hint of toffee.

Copper color when poured. Has a malty caramel flavor. Nice hops flavor and isn’t very bitter Goes down smooth for the higher alcohol content.

From the 12 fl. oz bottle. Love that copper-amber pour with the long lasting off-white head. It looks like others in its class but it is attractive. The aroma shouts out hops and butterscotch and maybe whispers a little pear. Medium to full body. The taste begins with a nice toasted malt character and then it erupts into an earthy moderate hop bitterness with a lingering finish.

Poured into pint glass from bottle: Pours copper with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, pine, earthy. Taste is a bit sweet but balanced with lots of piney hops. Medium body, medium carbonation. Not as overly sweet as I was expecting. A very nice beer.
