We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a off white head. Taste citrus, caramel, sweet. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Transfer from BA review on 6-26-13- Poured from bottle into a snifter Appearance – The beer pours a copper color with some red highlights shining through. Upon pouring there is a thick two finger off white head. The head has a good level of retention, fading over about a 5 min time period, to leave quite a lot of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is biggest to a grapefruit citrus hop smell. Mixed with this are some lighter notes of tropical fruits of tangerine and a little bit of pineapple. Rounding these smells out is a hint of pine and a light breadiness giving a quite standard west coast IPA like aroma. Taste – The taste begins with a thick malty flavor of a bready and lightly roasted malt flavor. Right from the start there is a grapefruit hop taste mixed with flavors of a sweeter citrus of tangerine. The grapefruit hop maintains a presence throughout the taste, but never grows too intense or too weak; its fairly constant and rather balanced with the malty and sweet flavors, only increasing slightly at the end. More sweetness of a light caramel and tropical fruit flavor comes to the tongue at the end and with a little bit of a pine hop flavor, as well as a slight increase in the grapefruit hop, and a tiny bit of an alcohol flavor, a very balanced and smoother malty flavor is left to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is thick and creamy with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. The lower carbonation and thicker body are great for accentuating the moderate hops as well as the malty flavors making for a nice soothing and enjoyable mouth coating feel to the brew Overall – A balanced and very soothing brew with a nice blend of sweet, hop, malt, and a great thickness to boot. Rather enjoyable.

Growler from the Costco independent liquor store. Deep copper color with a decent head with very good lacing. Aroma and taste are bitter hops, rich malt, and a complex vegetal note. You can definitively tell this is high gravity but it's not hot. The aftertaste and warming are the bigger indicators. Very good beer. Don't suggest drinking multiples. Either start the night or end the night with this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at St Augustine’s in Vancouver. A darkish brownish amber beer with a bit of pale head. Fruity on the nose. Big citrus hop, big fruit and big malt all up front. Sweet and fruity with a bit of malt on the lingering finish. Body seems a bit thin, but all goodness, all the way down. 4.

Excellent beer, balanced to perfection, tasty and drinkable. It deserves a quiet tasting, little sipd to appreciate the many nuances it has. Very great.

05-SEP-2014, bottle @home, from Barleywine. Almost clear amber with a huge, creamy, lasting, lacing, tan head. Aroma is flowery hops. Taste the same with caramel. Bitter, sweet, full body. Typical Lagunitas taste:-)

Looks really nice. Clear caramel color with a fine off white head. Solid lacing. Damned fine hoppy aroma with a solid caramel malty back. Solid body on this one. Fine balance between bitterness and sweetness, and a fine carbonation. Fruity, hoppy and deep malty flavor. A really lovely and tasty ale.

On tap, poured a clear copper hue w/ small creamy white head and excellent lacing. Light boozy aroma. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a moderate bitter finish if long duration. Tastes are raisin, brandy, honey, rye, and grass. Medium bodied and warm finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
