looks like tobacco spit, has alot of hops up front. not really citrus, more floral. tastes quite hoppy up front and later the solid malts kick in. Nice beer, not harsh, probably should have had it colder, but i just couldnt wait.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle, 9.02%ABV, 72IBU’s. Clear, amber body sparkles beneath a firm, off-white head that leaves behind smooth, thick sheets and rings of lace.
Malty aroma of caramel, spicy musk (lemon, earth, clove), banana, citrus hops, fruity esters. The lovely palate fades as the taste improves whilst sitting out and warming. Flavor of cane sugar, caramel, clove, plumb, lemon-grass, a nice and hoppy finish of grapefruit rind and pine, but noticeably acidic. Alcohol notes throughout. A bit harsh. Long, bitter and acidic finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pours clear red brown with a short lasting head - some lace. The aroma is quite malty with some serious hops to cut it. The flavor is caramel. cookies, hops, all well balanced to produce this imperial Bitter. The palate is well enough bodied. Overall, this is pretty decent. I can’t help but think these guys’ brewery must really use a whole bunch of barley and other sugary types of things.
