COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

Orange color, aroma of citrus, orange, and malt. Taste is hoppy, grapefruit, oranges, and pine. Light malt adds sweetness and body. Alcohol comes out towards the end. Warming, medium body. Hoppy, sweet, and warming. Feels strong.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 04.18.14. A: 2 1/2 finger head. See through red. S: Pine, grapefruit, ketchup, malt. T: Sweet malt, grapefruit, ketchup. Caramel is there too. M: Creamy smooth. O: Sweet malt comes on first, then grapefruit, ketchup, and some alcohol burn at the end. The malt turns into caramel which lingers. It was like a barleywine, but with a little less hop presence. The alcohol burn was not as strong as I thought that it would be.

Tap@nkbar. Brown dark amber. Plummy, sweet raisins, vinous notes on nose. Intensive, sweet figsy, light oaky. Well bittered though, doesn’t stick nor cloy. Long finish. Intensive flavourful barley wine- like asa. Flavourwise a winter warmer, but has a bit of a thinner body than beers I’m used to tasting like this.

Bottle thanks to my coworker Ed. Old bottle from March. Pours a deep copper color with a slight white head. Aromas of orange peel and caramel. Light hop aroma left at this point. I’m sure this is a totally transformed beer from when the hops are fresh but still quite good.

Beautiful dark hue with really rich flavors. Tar-like finish prevents perfect rating but otherwise a brilliantly robust and uniquely hoppy beer. On tap at Beermiscuous in Chicago, IL. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear copper with a thick white head. The aroma is very hoppy and some fruit to it. The taste is pretty strong. There is a hop bitterness right away as well as the alcohol. The finish is where you can pick up the dark fruits and some slight breadiness. The beer lingers but has a good aftertaste.

Poured from the tap. Light orangey brown with white head. Mild caramel, malt, citrus hops, subtle alcohol. Good balance.

"there’s a lot going on in there, but it’s kind of chaotic, as the flavors don;t always mesh. comes out a little much on the palate...overpowering was a good word, and bitter."

2year old bottle,2012 batch. Nice caramelly toffe orange flavour, smells like a belgian dark malty candy sugar, rummy and sweet. Being 2 Y old very nice my guess it still has more mellowing out left in it, should have kept a bottle for another year.
