COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

Pours clear amber with a medium beige head, nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, caramel, pear, grass and dark fruit. Taste is sweet with moderate bitters, definetly getting more malt then hops. Not as bitter as expected. Medium bodied, alcohol hidden very well and exceptionally easy to drink...can be deceiving. Sticky finish.

Single bottle, Total Wine. Clear amber pour with a fairly thick, creamy head. A lot of pine and caramel in the aroma along with some citrus fruit. Taste is Lagunitas all the way - great balance of hoppy bitterness and malt sweetness, with a slightly boozy finish.

Not sure when/where I had this beer, but I liked it. Pours amber with piney scent. The sweet/malt to bitter/hop mix is fairly ideal in this brew. The beer is thickish yet carbonated. Lagunitas never disappoints.

This is what Lagunitas does. Really malty and heavily hopped high abv beers that balance out nicely and seem to always work. Caramel and spicy hops with some booze.

Clear copper pour with off nice white that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is sweet pineapple, caramel, pine, and a little alcohol. Taste is grapefruit, faint apricot, pine, and caramel. Some alcohol warmth in there. Slightly sticky texture

Very nice brew from Lagunitas. Nose offers malty profile with some citrus and pine. Taste is pretty incredible....well balanced mouthfeel with great big malt profile with subtle notes of sweet mellow citrus and sweet fruit. Very nice brew!

On tap at Pour Judgement in NPT. Served in a shaker pint - little to no head. A deep amber. Huge aromas and flavors. Lots going on here. Good mesh of piney-floral hoppiness and just enough sweetness. Drying bitter finish.

Very nice -- another Lagunitas brew that defies categorization. Copper translucent pour. Taste to me is brown sugar malty sweetness, thick but not syrupy. Hides its ABV of 9.6% very well. Recommended! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark amber color with minimal off-white head and lacing. Roasted malt on the nose, slight caramel. Tastes similar to smell, roasted malt, nice balance of hops, subtle caramel, can?t help but think of a nice smoked gouda. Low carbonation, slightly-silky finish. Fantastic taste and smell but would prefer a little more body. I’ve only had bottled, perhaps more suited for a tap.

Roasted malt tones on the nose, with a dry finish and lots of smoked/bread flavors on the tongue. Not as hoppy as I was expecting, but still very good.
