4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very beautiful cascading reddish amber. Lots of hops, like a Double IPA. Bitterness swells up and stays around. Very tasty brew, lots of flavors hard to pick out. Creamy palate, very full bodied. Real nice job, impressive considering how much hops and alcohol must be packed into this.

12 oz bottle - pours clearish crimson-orange, medium white head, mostly lasting. Cool rainfall lacing. Creamy orangey hops and good malts and biscuit on the nose. Nice, balanced palate. Grassy notes, oranges, and little citrus. Herby finish. Good deal.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
on tap at O’Briens. Just have to say this is definitely one of the coolest bottles i’ve seen in a long time... the labeling is just great! Ok, to the rating... pours a clear brown color with a small, thin head. Aroma is nutty and malty with a slight sweet note at the end. Flavor is malty and sweet with a slightly grassy hint that lingers at the end. Very smooth and slightly bubbly on the palate. I enjoyed this beer more than I thought i would and i’m duly impressed with their form of protest to their shutdown last year!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great sweet aroma of brown sugar and malt with some dark fruit lingering in the background. Very attractive reddish brown color with an off-white head. Taste is sweet, followed by bitter, with an aftertaste that is a combination of both. There is a slight copper flavor in the aftertaste that I found unpleasant and had to dock it a few points for that. Great palate; exceedingly drinkable for such a strong beer. I would definitely buy this again.

Amber pour. My first Lagunitas and didn’t know what to expect. This was a way pleasant surprise. Sweet malts on the front end with a welcome hop punch in the finish. Awesome ale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at The Beer Store in Southampton, PA. Lagunitas is just incredible. Always knows how to take pine, citrus, and malts and make something awesome. A little too much alcohol bite, but still very enjoyable.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a deep, rich amber color, with a thick, foamy, rocky head that clings to the lip of the glass. The aroma is a bright, semi-sweet combination of citrus and pine that is bold but not overly assertive. The flavor is much more aggressive, though, with a potent, resinous pine forest hop character that is only mildly countered by a bready malt sweetness. The sticky, resinous, full mouthfeel becomes weighty after a while. Overall, this is a bold, hop-dominant IIPA/Strong Ale that is quite nice in a single glass but might be too much for me to enjoy multiple servings at once.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clean, dark copper color. Aromatic hops waft from the glass as soon as I start pouring - grapefruit, pine and herbs(not herb.) Strong alcohol and bitter flavors, with a little sweet caramel malt. A very slight higher alcohol off-flavor, paint thinner? Drink it fresh for a DIPA effect, but I bet it would age beautifully for years.
