3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep clear copper color with white head. Minor lacing. Aroma is hoppy with some malt. Flavor is balanced and very enjoyable. The hops really bring this beer to life. I would drink this again.

When I hear strong ale I don’t normally know what to expect. But when I hear lagunitas i usually expect greatness. This is a very good beer. It’s not just crazy hops like a lot of lagunitas beers, it’s smooth and creamy and hoppy as hell. It’s a great beer, and probably my favorite strong ale to date.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Crystal clear light amber pour. Thick white head and lots of lacing. Heavy hop aroma. Citrus and pine comes through the most. Alcohol comes through as well. Don't pick up much malt in aroma. Pretty thick mouthfeel. Flavor is very balanced. Still very bitter but not very dry. Caramel sweetness shines a little bit more than in aroma. Still some alcohol, but not bad for 9+%. Very good beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Classic hoppy aroma with hints of lime and exotic fruit from a deep amber, clear beer with lasting, fluffy tan head, The flavor is intensely bitter with a good balance between hops and caramel malt. Long aftertaste with a in- your-face alcohol punch. Very nice beer, but I cannot understand why it is not classified as a Double IPA.

Aroma is hoppy and sweet, a little malty. Color is a clear brownish red with almost no head. Taste is citrus and sweet, and almost floral. Feels like a high abv. Finish is a little slimy.
