COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

Clean, dark copper color. Aromatic hops waft from the glass as soon as I start pouring - grapefruit, pine and herbs(not herb.) Strong alcohol and bitter flavors, with a little sweet caramel malt. A very slight higher alcohol off-flavor, paint thinner? Drink it fresh for a DIPA effect, but I bet it would age beautifully for years.

Clear copper pour with nicely retained, clingy lacing of off-white top. Aroma is citrus-hoppy with some earthy tones and a bit of malt and booze coming through. Flavor is similar - a nice crisp bite of hop bitter up front, a malty mid-sip, followed by a bit of earthy hop lingering into the aftertaste. The latter being least enjoyable of the show. Not bad, but these guys do other, better brews.

Very beautiful cascading reddish amber. Lots of hops, like a Double IPA. Bitterness swells up and stays around. Very tasty brew, lots of flavors hard to pick out. Creamy palate, very full bodied. Real nice job, impressive considering how much hops and alcohol must be packed into this.

12 oz bottle - pours clearish crimson-orange, medium white head, mostly lasting. Cool rainfall lacing. Creamy orangey hops and good malts and biscuit on the nose. Nice, balanced palate. Grassy notes, oranges, and little citrus. Herby finish. Good deal.

on tap at O’Briens. Just have to say this is definitely one of the coolest bottles i’ve seen in a long time... the labeling is just great! Ok, to the rating... pours a clear brown color with a small, thin head. Aroma is nutty and malty with a slight sweet note at the end. Flavor is malty and sweet with a slightly grassy hint that lingers at the end. Very smooth and slightly bubbly on the palate. I enjoyed this beer more than I thought i would and i’m duly impressed with their form of protest to their shutdown last year!

Bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a good finger thick head. Sweet tropical fruits and pine dominate the aroma. Taste is nicely balanced; sweet caramel malt and plenty of hops with just a bit of alcohol. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Very well balnced at nearly 10%. Another knockout from Lagunitas. Can’t wait to see everyone @ the Chicago laocation!!!

On tap at The Beer Store in Southampton, PA. Lagunitas is just incredible. Always knows how to take pine, citrus, and malts and make something awesome. A little too much alcohol bite, but still very enjoyable.
