COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

Pours a dark amber with an off white head and a heavy caramel malt aroma. Bitter & lightly sweet. Full bodied light carbonation, good lacing, lightly alcoholic finish.

Pours a medium brown, with a beige head. Aroma is malty, caramel, brown sugar, and some grapefruit. Flavor is fruity, malty, and mildly sweet. Finishes a little astringent, and hoppy, but not bad. Overall very smooth and drinkable.

TH28 (234) - - JUN 29, 2013
Appearance is deep amber with a thick white foam cap. Aroma is all hop... More earthy, herbal, and citrus. Taste is grassy, earthy, onion, with slight bit of pine. Mouthfeel is fairly high. Finish is a soft hop bitterness following by intense alcohol warmth. As the beer warms the alcohol finish becomes very noticeable and leaves a stinging sensation

Deep mahogany brown. Nose is hot booze, toffee, and tobacco. Flavor follows, nice round palate, and bitter hop finish. A bit on the sweet side to be a real but still a great affordable brew. -Fish!

Copper color when poured. Has a malty caramel flavor. Nice hops flavor and isn’t very bitter Goes down smooth for the higher alcohol content.

Tastes very warm, more spicy than bitter. Malty caramel sweetness. Worth trying, I suppose.

Draft: Pours amber with a white head. Aroma and flavor is pine with a hit of fruitiness. A little sweetness with a touch of bitterness at the finish.

Pours deep orange with an ample off-white head. Citrusy floral hop aromas with notes of caramel. Excellent balance of hoppy brightness and malty goodness with a noticeable but not overwhelming alcohol finish. I really enjoy this one. I can’t fully define why, but I won’t overanalyze it.

GSH1976 (227) - Delaware, USA - JUN 30, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 16, 2012 Pours a clear reddish color with minimal head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt and hops. Taste is a combination of sweetness and grapefruit. The finish is initially bitter and then there is some lingering sweetness. Alcohol is hidden well considering the close to 10% abv. I had to update my rating because after having several of these I would prefer if the beer was a little less sweet.

leeburg (227) - Juneau, Alaska, USA - MAY 14, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 18, 2009 Slightly hazy reddish amber, diminishing off-white head leaves decent lacing. Potpourri of sweet hop aromas including citrus, pine, agave syrup, flowers, toasted malt. Like a hophead’s candy store, really. Flavors congruent to nose. Pungent bitter finish. Strong brew.
