COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2010 22oz bottle -pours a foamy light tan head and deep amber color. Aroma is northwest hops-citrus/resiny/pine, syrup, medium malt. Taste is tingly on the tongue, northwest hops-citrus/resiny/pine, syrup, medium malt, pick up of alcohol at the end. Good effervescence, could be an American Strong Ale, but best I2PA I think I’ve had. 100430-just had this in the 12oz pkg, not as impressive as 2+ yrs ago, but still pretty tasty. Leaving the score alone, just adding this comment.

Draught at Birreria Paradiso. Amber color, solid white head and lacing. Aroma of fresh hops and pine. Full bodied malt taste with a smoke edge. Very nice.

Dark golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of caramel and candy with grass and grapefruit hops. Sweet sugary flavour with a harsh hop bitter finish.

Ambery copper color. Little head, but a tendency towards minor lacing. Smells like sour grapefruit mixed with pine. That’s really a good smell. There’s an underlying malty sweetness, but the hops cover that quickly. Smooth, with medium body. Just delightful on the tongue. The hops persist from palate to esophagus.

Bottle from Voldby. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, heavy malty, caramel and rather hoppy - grapefruit and pine. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. 030913

Copper colored pour with a tall khaki head. Nice bright, citrus hop aroma. Grapefruit, pine, and orange. Some sweet caramel, a touch of brown sugar, and light pineapple. The flavor is fruity and sweet. Pineapple, grapefruit, and oranges. Light pine bitterness, sweet caramel, and some brown sugar. Nice.

Tap at Mudville 9, NYC. Awesome, awesome, awesome. I’d probably classify this as an IPA. Pours orange-gold with a medium, pure white head. Very sweet, citrus fruity aroma with loads of caramel malts. The primary characteristic of this beer is a sweet, sugary maltiness, but the hops are undeniable. Some pine and resin, but light. Medium to full in body with average carbonation. Alcohol gives the beer some nice depth but is not overbearing. Loved this beer.

Bottle. Poured dark hazy copper color with a large frothy off-white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Good complex citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with a slick finish. Medium malty bitter flavor with a medium bitter small alcohol finish of moderate duration.
