Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a slightly hazy dark orange color with a medium foamy off-white head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, ripe fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of dank hops, earthy malt and pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a resiny hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Tasted this fresh a couple months ago… It pours a dark orange with a creamy orange head. The aroma is very sweet with fruity mango, orange and grape. The flavor is the same… super fruity with grapes, mango, a little spicy hop bitterness in the finish. Strong… Full bodied and a bit on the sweet and thick side, but great flavor.

Draft at South Philly Taproom with Alan. Ugly hazy red pour no head or lace. Straight sugar, barleywine, past prime hops, sticky fruit, cherry. Gross shit taste lilke its all of the 6 weeks old. I was excited for this but what a huge letdown. I drank 2 ounces and returned the rest to the bar keep.

Sample at Hopfest 2013. Comes a somewhat cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of fruit, pine, and florals. Taste is grapefruit, other citrus and tropical fruits, florals, pine, and malt. Not much alcohol comes through. Nice.

TURDFERGUSON (4005) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Tap at Milltown. Pours a reddish bet with a small off white head and some sticky lace. Nose is citrus, resiny hops, lots of candi sugar malt. Flavor is similar--more sweet than the Sucks, lots of resinous hops, caramelized sugar, light papaya, and guava. Certainly a fine double ipa, but I probably prefer the Sucks for its drier qualities. Solid, but not worth custy’s hype and a bit on the sweet and boozy side for my tastes.

Growler poured into snifter. Amber beautiful. Little bit of head lingers at edge of glass. Great lacing leaving perfect rings on glass. Aroma of earthy, piney, weedy goodness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
