Oh my goodness! Menu says 9.2% (website says 10.5%) and tapped today at 6pm - on tap from Tap25 in Livermore. Pours deep orange, a little cloudy, nice white head that eventually disappears. Smells of pine, overpowering sweet citrus and tastes of earthy, orange/grapefruit, even hops/mary jane (wait...420 is in the title?). Malt is there but hops really stand out. Big, bold, dank, resinous, and sweet...is this the best Lagunitas beer since Sucks? Yep. Great DIPA.

Draft at Whole Foods PM. Pours hazy dark straw with white head. Nose is intense resiny hops, honeydew, pineapple. Tastes well balanced, with extremely well hidden alcohol, juicy hops, melon, citrus, and a crisp, velvety finish. Bravo!

Draft. Tennessee orange with moderate haze and a fluffy head of light tan. The aroma, as you’d expect from a beer of this ... pedigree ... is dank, packed with resinous hop and weed notes along with a little wet soil and guava. The flavor displays a similar balance of the tropical and the reefer. I get sweet guava and papaya met with sticky alcohol and caramelized orange slices before a citrus-peel finish. The body is thick and weighty as heavy cream, the bubbles struggling to break through the muck to gently pinch the tongue. You don’t drink this -- you chew it. Dense, resinous and dank.

Draft at Moriartys. Tulip. Hazy medium orange-copper pour with soft off-white foam. Lace. Earthy spicy caramel flavors. Bright brown amber fruit. Apricot pits. Golden raisins. Donut peaches. Tangerine peels. Dried leaves. Pine needles. Spring onions. Red peppers. High hops. Big alcoholic bite in the middle. Overly sweet toffee malts make a valiant attempt to counter the hops but instead seem to add one more hill to climb. Feels more like a whiskey. Not an easy beer - but who needs that? Try it if you want something challenging.

Barreras (1160) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - APR 24, 2015
Pours a clean copper color with a grassy alcohol aroma. Upfront alcohol burn in the taste lending itself to a grassy, minor sweet molasses flavor. The alcohol content burns after, but in a good way. Overall a smooth beer with an alcohol and hops bite.

Copper with white head. Grassy pine aroma. Yes 11% and still grassy. A lot like smells like freedom (DC Brau). Onion grass pine medium malt. Delicious.

Tap at Mackenzies. Wasn’t sure what style it was when I ordered, was listed as a "special ale". Pour is identical to the picture on the page. That is a better description than I can give. Nice fruity hops, orange and grapefruit and all of those. Solid but unspectacular.

4oz pour at Churchkey. Poured a slightly hazy golden orange color with a fluffy white head. Aroma was lots of heavy tropical fruit notes, strong sticky malts. Flavor has plenty of pine resin, mango. Very drinkable. The immediate outside of the bar smelled like weed. This? This smelled like a nice tropical fruit beer.

Draft at Bricks. Pours dark orange with decent white head and lacing. Nose is nice citrus and pineapple. Taste is dank, citrus, dank, alcohol. Lasting bitterness in the aftertaste.

This poured a darker orange with a white head. Aroma was of lots of booze, sweet candied malt, and dank resinous hops. Flavor similar, very bitter, hot, and sweet, lots of dank hops.

Pour on tap at Red Cow, clear orange pour with fluffy white head, aroma brought notes of big orange, grapefruit, pine, some resinous notes into a bit of melon, mango, slight bready, caramel notes. Taste was a mix of caramel, bread, orange, grapefruit into a bit of pine, resin, some melon, hints of grain, finishing bitter.
