In 1971, the Waldos met one afteroon at 4:20 in the front courtyard of their school near the statue of Louis Pasteur. They set out in a ’66 Impala armed with a "treasure map" on a journey to find a secret garden near Point Reyes. They met there at the same time every day and continued their quest. They never found the secret garden....But they keep lookin’. The dankest and hoppiest beer ever brewed at Lagunitas was made with help of the Waldos for all treasure hunters.

This beer was awesome. On tap @ the Reagle Beagle. Pours a medium orange amber, mostly clear with a nice off white head that held good lacing. Big nose of sticky pine and citrus fruits. Medium to heavy bitterness in the finish. Well done Lagunitas.

Bottle. Aroma of weed and syrup. Flavor is distilled hops. If IHOP made a hop syrup this is what it would taste like. Tropical hoppiness without limits.

Absolutely huge double IPA on draft at the Bistro on Bridge. The beer poured an amber color with ample off-white head. The head left some decent lacing around the inside of the glass. The nose was big, well-balanced and very inviting. The body was full and a little boozy. I tasted some wine, grapes, whiskey, dank and wet hops, sweet malts, grass, earth and lemon.

This is a delicious beer. In fact, after consuming a lot this beer over the past several weeks, I’m left wondering if there is a double- or even triple-IPA, receiving its level of distribution, that comes even close. I believe I just purchased the last couple of sixers on the shelf in my neck of the woods, and I’m going to miss this lovely monster. One good sign, for me, of an excellent IPA is when aroma hits me as soon as I uncap a bottle, and I’m smacked in the face with a good dark and dank hoppy one every time with Waldos. Beyond the aroma, there’s plenty of taste to enjoy--bread-like, a little hay, and resin and flowery beyond belief. The ABV is evident in every sip, but in a kind and welcoming way. Don’t pass this up. Or do, and leave that much more for me, please.

Bottle. Whoa, this was on freaking bitter beer and I didn’t care for it. Deep gold in color and no head. Aroma was mostly grapefruit peels and pine needles. Taste was the strangest ipa I’ve ever had. Malty and hoppy to the max.

Giant citrus nose and quite bitter. Even more bitter as it warms in my glass. Great triple IPA, even if it’s not my favorite style........should have taken points off for the ridiculous deScriptions Lagunitas likes to put on the label. Hey Lagunitas owners, stop smoking so much pot! SERIOUSLY.

This baby will set you sailing for sure. It has a strange taste that I can't identify at first taste. But the malt mines and hops bust the backend in a great way. Alcohol keeps a nice burn in the mouth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft @ hops&hominy. Dark yellow to amber color with small and short white head and almost no lacing. Amazig and very strong aromas of pine and citrus. Medium body, very rich with strong bitterness. Little bit of alcohol in a first sip, generally very well balanced. Decent one.

Any beer above 10% alcohol is perfect to me. It doesn’t matter how bad it tastes. Luckily this one tastes good too.

Golden yellyellow color with a slightly white head, short lived, no lacing. Aroma is citrus/tropical fruits, slight grass, pine. Flavor follows with wonderful fruit flavors, slight grass, stronger presence of bitterness in flavor. Alcohol not too noticeable for 11.5%. Body is mediumish, thin slick feel. Very drinkable and enjoyable.
