3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Wing Central in the U district, poured from bottle to pint glass.
Appearance was straw to orange, clear and minimal head.
Aroma was mild for an ipa, no overwhelming smells. More mild fruits than citrus.
Taste was very balanced. Subtle and earthy hop presence.
Palate was smooth and soft, goes down easy. Very crisp and refreshing.
Not a hop bomb, and I’m not the kind of person who seeks those out. I really enjoyed this for an ipa. Balanced and fruity, in a good way.

A great American IPA. I was thoroughly surprised by it’s taste. In a good way that is. I would certainly recommend this to anyone that would want to drink it.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap in Portsmouth.
Golden pour with a filmy white head. Aroma is light floral hops, with some citrus twang. Mouthfeel is nice, crisp. Flavor is sweet floral hop with a bit of resinous bitterness on the finish. Nothing extraordinary, but certainly drinkable and refreshing, a good go to ipa.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pleasantly surprised by this beer. Expecting what most American IPA ’s that are weak or lighter. The aroma was very weak, as there was no hoppy smell to it, but the taste was a good mix of floral hops and malt with some fruit sweetness. Some hints of lemon and possibly grapefruit. This is a well-balanced IPA; good hop taste but not overwhelming as I would enjoy. It is an easy drinking beer. Still, it is slightly lighter than a true IPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2013 Had it on tap at Chs. Beer Works- they ran out of Coast HopArt and replaced tap with this. Really good- malty, hoppy and really well balanced. Good head with staying power. Perfect IPA color that makes your mouth water. Not as spectacular or memorable as the HopStoopid, but would defintely look for it again.
had on tap again labor day weekend 2013 at mezzaluna in h’ville. in honour of jennifer’s first trip to west coast. better than I remember- kind of perfectly sweet, malty, hoppy all in one taste. server brought a sample of st. teresa’s pale....not even a fair comparison. lagunitas a solid ipa. one of my favorites for overall balance and drinkability.

Light color, pleasant hoppy aroma. A strong but balanced hop flavor, very refreshing and tasty. Definitely a good session IPA, had a few of these on tap.
