Poured on tap at Breakwater Cafe. A light amber color with almost no head. Aromas of citrus and a little dank. Taste is very crisp an refreshing with a little pine, citrus and grass cuttings. A medium sweet malty backbone. Finish is dry.

When poured, this beer is quite orange with a prominent, frothy white head, and the aroma has a strong citrus hop scent to it. Once sipped, this beer is very bitter because of the strong hoppiness of this beer, but the thin, slick texture makes this beer not-too-heavy on the senses.

Not a fan of IPAs at all; this one redeemed them for me. Orange color is nice. Thin head. Bitter citrus. Everything was balanced wonderfully. A great beer.

On tap at Hops in New West. Poured in a signature mug for measure and re-poured into a tulip/snifter for aroma. Generous tan head. The beer itself is a beautiful darker reddish amber in color. In flavor, I can only say it’s masterful balance of hops and malts. Very nice.

On tap at Gott’s in the Ferry Building in San Francisco. Pours yellow orangy with no head. Sibtle aroma of pineapple and citrus. Light body, not really bitter as I would expect from an IPA. Served a tad too cold.

On cask at the taproom. It pours a bright orange color with an off white head. The aroma is grassy with some tropical fruit and the typical sweet juicy fruit gum you normally get with Lagunitas IPA’s. The flavor has wet grass, tropical fruit with solid grapefruit and pine bitterness in the finish. The grassy wet hops worked nice on cask. I dug this one.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma of leafy hops with a slight nutty malt. Light golden on color with a thin foam top. Taste is a light bitter flavor with some pleasant earthy hops. Medium carbonation with a slight bready malt on the finish. Overall, a flavorful and medium bodied IPA. I’d give this an A rating.
