3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Consistent aroma, malts and hops. Beautiful pure brown color with both awesome head and lace. To hoppy for the style even if I like it that way. Very good brew altogether.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear brownish red with a big off-white head and some chunks floating in it. Aroma is hops and caramel/nut malts. Taste is dark nuts with some yeastiness. Decent hop finish. Overall, this is good (especially at $4.49 a bomber), but it tastes like a brown IPA, not a brown ale.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice brew. Pours a dar, malty color with a thick off white head. Smooth aftertaste and delicious flavor - a bit of roasted malts.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber into pint glass. Translucent reddish-brown color with light tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, caramel malt, some dried fruits and citrus hoppiness. Taste starts with citrus/piney hoppiness giving way to big maltiness (slight roast and nuttiness). Medium body, low carbonation, malty, creamy with bitter dry finish. I like big brown ales, I like this.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very dark ruby color, a little hazy, with a thin almost non-existent head. Distinct aroma of caramel malt and molasses. Taste is thick on the palate and a little bit syrupy. It drinks like a heavier alcohol beer than it is - overall very solid. This a relatively complex beer - like it a lot.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Malty and delicious. Sweet but not overly. not too boozy for the alcohol it contains. Overall a favorite.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Taste is incredibly sweet and smooth with again a plethora of prunes. I also get some slight hops but they are completely overshadowed by the sweet character of this beer. Lagunitas has yet to disappoint.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Visual: Pours clear beer bottle brown with a small cream/foamy head, lots of activity.
Nose: brown sugar sweet malts (6/10 aromatic strength)
Attack: creamy/tingly/fizzy mouthfeel, brown sugar sweetness(7/10)
Mid-palate: (MAIN) med-high heavy MALTS, caramel, citrus hops, alcohol (HINTS) cola, elderflower
Finish: medium grapefruity hoppy bitterness, long malty bittersweet finish.
Summary: An interesting balanced brew of sweet malts and bitter hops. Good complexity and drinkability.
