Clear brown, dark amber with orange edges, tan head. Interesting aroma with ripe plums, sun tea, hints of shoe, treacle, cocoa and cigar tobacco. Great feel, full body, rich chewy malts, cotton candy, resinous hops, plenty of tea, nice lingering pine tar aftertaste. Very good, I could drink this often!

Dark copper color with a bone colored head. Head is moderately sized but rather clingy to the glass. Caramel and citrus aromas abound. Iím not a big fan of this combination, but Iím sure there are many who find it quite enjoyable. Light sweet start with caramel and grapefruit flavors. Itís not like a grapefruit with caramelized sugar on top, more grapefruit dipped in caramel. Iím thinking more and more like this is just a hop juiced strong amber. OK STFU and drink MírFír. Know what Iím saying. 6/10

Stereotypical ale up front followed by a deep, yet suttle, chocolate and coffee notes. Good but donít need to find again.

On tap at Butcher and the Boar in the Beer Garden. Brown in color like the rich color youíd find on a dresser at HOM Furniture. Plenty of head...like a half finger. Aroma has some elements of dark fruit and sweetness but is overall more muted than expected. Taste leans on sugary notes with chocolate, cherry, and maybe prune. Finish almost feels like it has coffee characteristics. Very roasted malt presence throughout. Slight oily mouthfeel with a nice finish. Feels like a starter version of a Belgian variety. There are better Lagunitas options but I still enjoy it more than most.

Bottle. Top notch brown ale. Dark copper color. Chocolate, dark fruit, piney aroma. The taste is caramel and toffee with grains and pine. Bitterness on the finish. Smooth and semi-rich. Really good, drinkable and complex. Highly recommended.
