WTF Ale. A malty, robust, jobless Recovery Ale! Were not quite in the Red, or in the Black... Does that mean were in the Brown?

Bomber. Pours clear brown with a lasting creamy head. Aroma a full mellow hop with caramel backing it up. Flavor a wonderfully balanced sweet/salt/bitter that tapers gently. Medium body, creamy natural carbonation. Overall this is a lovely light brown ale with hops enough to power through. Love it.

Clear brown, dark amber with orange edges, tan head. Interesting aroma with ripe plums, sun tea, hints of shoe, treacle, cocoa and cigar tobacco. Great feel, full body, rich chewy malts, cotton candy, resinous hops, plenty of tea, nice lingering pine tar aftertaste. Very good, I could drink this often!

Delicious! Nice hoppy brown with tons of flavor. On draft at the Pataluma tap house. Try it! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark copper color with a bone colored head. Head is moderately sized but rather clingy to the glass. Caramel and citrus aromas abound. Im not a big fan of this combination, but Im sure there are many who find it quite enjoyable. Light sweet start with caramel and grapefruit flavors. Its not like a grapefruit with caramelized sugar on top, more grapefruit dipped in caramel. Im thinking more and more like this is just a hop juiced strong amber. OK STFU and drink MrFr. Know what Im saying. 6/10

Pours a deep dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of coffee/chocolate kinda sweet. Roast bitter coffee flavor with nice hop ending.

Tap at new bohemia. Short pour. Light amber with medium white fuzzy head. Malty nose. Really nice balance. Malt but well balanced. High sugar. Great body. Liked it.

Stereotypical ale up front followed by a deep, yet suttle, chocolate and coffee notes. Good but dont need to find again.

On tap at Butcher and the Boar in the Beer Garden. Brown in color like the rich color youd find on a dresser at HOM Furniture. Plenty of head...like a half finger. Aroma has some elements of dark fruit and sweetness but is overall more muted than expected. Taste leans on sugary notes with chocolate, cherry, and maybe prune. Finish almost feels like it has coffee characteristics. Very roasted malt presence throughout. Slight oily mouthfeel with a nice finish. Feels like a starter version of a Belgian variety. There are better Lagunitas options but I still enjoy it more than most.

Bottle. Top notch brown ale. Dark copper color. Chocolate, dark fruit, piney aroma. The taste is caramel and toffee with grains and pine. Bitterness on the finish. Smooth and semi-rich. Really good, drinkable and complex. Highly recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very good brown ale; in fact the best brown ale I've had. Sinful' review just before mine is a perfect description of it! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
